This new piece is looking very nice, and the article on figurementors was great, very helpful. But you know what would be even better? If you flew to Chicago and gave me private coaching lessons on NMM, all on your own dime of course. That would be the best.

Looking great, Andy. I love how precisely you've picked out those nice shotgun shells. Texture on the pants looks nice, too, especially against that razor sharp NMM (which you need to help me with...).

Already have Alien Stars, just need time to read it! It's not that I don't have any free time, but that modelling & painting seem to have claimed all mine!
I've read your FigureMentors article a couple of times. It was one of the primary resources for my initial attempts at NMM. Could you maybe post a picture when you get a chance of how much paint you're applying as you work through the greyscale? Basically, when you talk about pulling paint in the article, how much am I hoping to pull? Could you maybe take a picture of a paint deposit on a paper towel showing how much you've got loaded before you touch the mini, as you mentioned before that you thought I might be flooding my minis sometimes? Similarly, as you make your way up through your gradations of highlight & shadow, how many applications are typically necessary to complete the 'move' from one gradation to the next? I know you can't give absolute rules, but I am just curious about the level of transparency to your paints as you paint NMM.
I'm now using your recommended size 2 W&N, so I figure I'll be painting perfect NMM in no time, right? You guys make it look so easy! Keep up the great work, however limited your time to paint.

Will do when I get a mo just quickly you just need the tip of the brush I'm talking 3-4mm at most and you need it thinned right down think skimmed milk and also you need to see all the hairs of the brush no blobs of paint on the end. Layers hmm 10-15 should do the job.

Had a great time at Golden demon today met up with some top notch painters ....and Lee 
happy for Mally with a well deserved win for the big grotlin monster and david with gold for the big orc lad and steff with his nmm dwarf squad. Pleased as well with a couple of finalists pins for myself. Über high level with the awesome nagash getting the slayer sword.
