It's update time from the slowest sculptor around!
First up is my cat. He's almost done. Just getting his body proportions right and then attempting fur.
His face ended up more "generic domestic cat" than "British Shorthair", but I'm relatively happy with it. I'm continuing to learn as I go and I'd made the core of his head a bit too big to accomplish the face shape and size I had originally intended. There may well be more cat sculptures in your future if you can bear to continue following my exploits.
The second one I wanted to show you was a little guy I made for fun last night.
I got my hands on some different clay and was testing it out. He was made from Premo (a Sculpey product) with a wire and foil armature. Premo is so much easier to manipulate and shape than Fimo! So I may continue playing with it. I got a couple of other brands as well which I'll report back on when I've had a chance to use them.
I'm thinking of giving this little guy to YetiSA's mini yetis as a toy. One of littlest yeti's first clear words was: "dine-oh-saw" so it may be appropriate. Although my man is eyeing it as well, so we'll see.
Hope all is well with you guys. Let me know what you think, what you're up to hobby-wise or anything else you feel like sharing. :brushwave:
