I love the soldier, he is perfect. The zombies look cool. You are such an inspiring painter, Bailey, I always look forward to your updates.

I wish I could whip up a few evenings in which to whip up some stuff.
Ditto. Going on several months with no mini painting and my Zombicide arrived yesterday. Hoping to have half the quality paint the Bailey achieved on them.

Thanks, guys. I tend to go a lot slower with my more serious figures, worrying about every detail. I feel a little more free when I'm painting just 'for fun' things like the zombie.

Well, I'm had the chance to get back to the Officer of the Navy Guard. Just continuing on with the details. I've got 10 days until the Long Island miniature show, but I'm optimistic I'll be able to finish him in time.

And I've also been working on the Polish Lancer. When last we left this figure he'd had a run in with a drunk wedding guest at a show in DC. I've spent a lot of time repairing him and adding a few more details. I still have one or two things left to do before I post him to the gallery, but in the meantime here's a sneak peak. First is a picture from the last update I posted of him and then you can see where he is now.

Stunning blues!

What was the Navy Guard officer's coat made out of? Are you thinking about doing another highlight on it?

The lancer makes me want to form an infantry square! Thank goodness he is only a couple of inches tall...

Looking great sir. I am glad the one guy is getting repaired, he is too good to leave all broken.

Thanks, Skel, Demihuman, Krule, and Milosh. Yeah, I couldn't leave him like he was after the show. Maybe if he'd been an old figure I could have just moved on but he was brand new.

Demihuman, I believe the coat would have been wool. Looking at the pictures I could probably add another layer or two of highlights. In person they seem a little more dramatic. With a dark coat like that I don't want to get too light... but yeah, I'd though about adding a little more before I was through.

Skel, I know what you mean, attending shows can be very addicting (especially when you start winning sweet swords ;)). I wish I could get to more. After this the next show I've got isn't until February... and it's over the Valentine's day weekend so my wife might veto those plans.
