AAAAAAHHHH
Wow that thing is scary. Up here in Atlanta/Athens we won\'t get the wind, but it always seems that once these storms are done with Florida they drop half the Atlantic ocean on us. It\'s these stupid foothills.
I was on Sanibel Island a week before it was obliterated 3 weeks ago by Charley. Non residents still aren\'t allowed back.
To Finn:
I know the clouds look similar over Florida and England, but something tells me the storm over England does not boast winds of 145 miles per hour, which is something like 230 km per hour (I think).
And the folks live in Florida because the climate is warm. Brick houses aren\'t really condusive to Florida. It keeps the wind out, it keeps the heat in.
The idea that most folks in Florida live in trailers is incorrect. Florida houses are usually one story, and once a hurricane is finished with it any normal, middle class neighborhood looks like it used to be a trailer park.
To Airhead:
Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but Florida has more tornados per year than anywhere else on the planet.
