Look forward to seeing your results. One additional step can be made. After all the above steps, add the white of your choice to the Oxide paint. Drybrush, yes-drybrush this on in places. DBing works very well here because a chalky finish is actually desired. So choose your chalkiest white. Mine is probably Vallejo Game Air Aged White, horrible (great) stuff.

You can also take your Oxide paint, or whitened Oxide paint, and dilute it significantly. Maybe 4:1 water:Nihilahk Oxide. Dab this on in places and before it dries on its own pick up the half dried mix with a dry brush. This will leave a nasty water mark that further supports the verdigris look.

There's only a few, small details I need to do right now, but I 'accidentaly' picked up a full, barely used CORE army for Dark Age yesterday, so I'm going to need this a lot. noting down all of this in my Evernote, results from the first little test will probably show up in a few days.

Nice weathering, I tried this nihilack oxide thing on a skavens standard bearer and got lots of fun painting it, could not stop myself neither @demihuman xD
I too mixed in some other colours, but I did not write them down ;_( That I should try to fix for my next minis....

Thanks everyone for the motivation!! Some new faces here that I highly appreciate!!!!

Ive progressed quite a bit on the base, and should finish it in the next day or two. I used a ton of pigments on it, and was quite happy with my results, which were very much exploratory. Pics to follow tonight.

Glad the copper explanation was helpful. By the way, this project utilizes just about every form of NMM: Steel, gold, bronze, and copper. Can't wait to finish and share pics...

I was wondering if you ever used the wood, just make sure to use gloves and mask with the darker wood, it's a little dangerous, but fine once sealed. The wife and I swung over to that hardwood store the other week to see if they had anything new, managed to pick up some mohogany that should work for my firefighter bust. Let me know if you need anymore or looking for something specific, they have a pretty solid selection.

Nice! I really like the corrosion on the fence. What about carrying that over with some grime and residue on the brick column?

ARight. Yes my plans exactly. Haven't finished painting the tiny bricks yet, which are red-black and scaley green. Once complete, I was going to apply heavy weathering on the bottom of the column, getting cleaner as we go up. Also, where the floor meets the wall the stone is too dark and looks out of place-will weather it into place. thank you both for the compliments. A compliment from outstanding artists such as you two is cherished.
