Maybe they\'ll do a cross-over for the next movies...

KONG in Narnia! (in 3D!)

I picture Kong talking with a cheesy Hollywood style British accent.

\"By george, I think it was bloody well uncricket of you chaps to truss me up this way; most uncivilized I daresay!\"

and, of course, he would be sipping an ENORMOUS cup of tea. lol

Sorry... I\'m in a sillly mood.

@Marcus lolol thats a good one..im still wondering why they chose Jack Black..I mean hes fine in silly roles but this is a pretty serious one..he would not have been at the top of my who to pick for the dramatic role list..I mean Peter Jackson uber millionaire director get someone with a little more clout...you need at least one big anchor in your movie..I guess in this one its Kong ;)

From every review Ive read or seen on TV.. they say no one could of played this part better than Jack black did.. that its a totally serious effort on his part.

Jeff yeah I watched bits and pieces on the making..didnt want to see it all kinda ruins the movie once you see it.. he just doesnt strike me as the serious type..kinda Jim Kerry labeled ..I just think Peter could have chose a plethora of others ..least he didnt get Aflec or Shattner..((Shatnner voice)) Kong...is...running a muck..running..a ...muck((insert hand and body gestures )) ;)

Don\'t know if I\'ll see it, but Black is a good actor who can pull off real emotion, and I understand he\'s playing what amounts to a glorified carnival barker, so it\'s not like he\'s being Richard III or something. He\'s a guy who can get in your face and make you want to buy something.

Vince how could you not want to see Kong?..thats like saying I dont want to see the Hobbit when its made LOL..yeah Jack is a fine actor but playing a underhanded film maker type I can think of alot more guys I would have picked..William Dafoe..Danny Divito..well just about anyone but I will reserve judgement until i see it.

At first I was turned off by his casting, too, but seeing what part he\'s playing I think he\'ll do alright. And who knew how good most of the guys in LOTR could be before the movies premiered?

Anyway, wasn\'t this a Narnia thread? I really enjoyed Narnia. I was especially impressed with the special effects of fantastic creatures having a big battle scene in bright daylight. Very well done. And I thought the kids did a good job with their parts. Tilda Swinton rocks as the White Queen.

I\'m very selective about what movies I see, and I am definitely going to see Narnia. Kong on the other hand is a remake, and as far as I can tell, the only thing it\'s got going on the original is FX.
Plus, being married means I don\'t see much my wife doesn\'t want to see. My last \"boys night out\" was to see Kung Fu Shuffle.
..Danny Divito...
Now that I could really see! (Romancing the Stone, Twins, that\'s his forte)

The White Witch / Queen was fantastic - seriously good. I would recommend the film on the basis of the White Witch alone.

I have to say I am not too taken with the idea of King Kong. Three hours??? I saw the trailer and just thought - It looks like Jackson had a lot of idea\'s and props left over from Lord of the Rings that seem to have been plonked wholesale into the King Kong film. Remember the wood structures that the orcs built around Saruman\'s Tower, and the general \"features\" of the orcs? There is going to be very striking similarities between Kong and lotr.

Seeing Narnia on friday. Looking forward to it.

May see Kong, too. Undecided yet. Not because it\'s a remake, not because of Jack Black (whom I think is a fine actor, but not a \'great\' one), but just because I can\'t decide if... I care.

Narnia, there\'s not a lot to make fun of, but Kong....
Kong had a cartoon... with a dire theme song.

That sucks! I don\'t stop my fiancee from going to see movies that I don\'t have any interest in seeing. That seldom happens, but if he wants to see something without me he has my blessing. Well, maybe not if it\'s a Johnny Knoxville movie.
;)

Just had the chance to see Narnia. It was a good movie. The white witch was way cool. The FX were well done, you forgot at times that they were there.

I do plan on seeing King Kong. I will probably have to wait till next week though.

I think he lost all credibility after he played \"the Penguin\". I used to like Michelle Pfeifer before I saw that too....

Why did the Batman movies use such BIG actors but then give them a lousey script? What... did some eight year olds win a contest \"Write your own Hollywood movie\" or something?

Narnia - going to see it this weekend

Kong - probably wait \'till it hits video

I have a REALLY weird story about the books \"The Chronicles of Narnia\", but I\'ve been debating whether or not to post it; I\'m not sure I even believe it myself...

Now with a story hook like that you\'ve got to spill the beans now.

It\'s not that she doesn\'t let me. It\'s partly that we share funds I suppose, but also if I\'ve got 3 hours of free time I usually want to spend them with her. Occasionally I just need a fix of testosterone-filled escapism.
