CMON-ers in miniatures

Actually we did something like this for visions of putty 4, \"self portrait\". We have head people sculpting themself, impressions of themselves or themselves as their favourite character.

Here is the gallery:
http://www.miniature-painting.net/cgi-bin/gallery/gallery.cgi?action=displayt&gallery=VisionsP4

In my case, I sculpted myself the way you can sometimes find me when I travel: sculpting sitting on a backpack. :) That\'s also what my avatar is.

I think we are having a painting competition at a gamestore here which is \"paint an orc as yourself\". :)

By the way, if we\'re going for a paint/sculpt showcase here, I\'m in. I\'ll probably do one of my first longterm gaming characters. Shadowseeker, priest of the night and oblivion. :)

Lahatiel is an actual fallen angel from ancient angelic lore, and I already have a drawing of my friend\'s vision of him (my friend being a much, much more talented graphic artist than I) tattooed on the back of my left shoulder; for myself as a mini, I\'d sculpt the figure from that artwork.

I find the sculpt stellar just the look in the face is intense let alone the weapons

As a comment on other\'s ideas, I\'d have to say the \"Margo in a corset\" mini would probably sell quite well... lol

hurray i like helping!

oh btw im Ari...
at least one of us got around to sculpting it. my cats kept on trying to eat it whenever it started to take shape...
as for if i were a mini...i imagine a rather large (non muscly) person..somewhat ogre like with crazy hair...maybe ill convert up an ogre to be me!!!

it only took 4 months to start up, but i\'m working on him. ;) Sorry to hear about your work being eaten by the cats... i hate it when i pour time into something to have it lost. but you might want those kitties checked out. i\'ve heard horror stories about GS being toxic... especially for small animals. Both the gobbo and DR got A LOT of work done to them (for my speeds at least) tonight and i\'ll work on them more tomorrow while some older minis bath in pinesol.

Oh, and as for me as a mini? i already made it. i\'m a converted chaos mini leading my 13th company Space Wolves chapter. it was easier that way... all i had to do was sculpt a headlol

Hmm, I\'d have to go with a modern look - me in my armor with my helmet in my hand and my boonie hat on my head leaning up against some big piece of equipment.

Well if I painted her darkblond I think I could have Steve Buddles Si\'Rene pass off as being me... I never saw myself as elf much though... maybe a dwarf...yeah I like those, just need to sculpt a slim not to busty one for once (though it like the voluptuous dwarven lasses with big hair ... hmmm can\'t say I myself fall in that category)

Anyway this is me:

And here is a picture of:

Thanks :) But why not? Being slender is no obstacle for wearig corsets -- been there, done that ... :)

@SJB: Yes, Maris\'s corset does look very close to what I had in mind :) Yet as you\'ve said, the face and hair\'s different (I don\'t have bangs). But still, the idea is very close.

@all: this is so much fun reading about how you see yourselves in miniatures! And it turned out that some of you already have your alter egos. Great stuff!

Hi Cindy,

nice seeing you here. Now, I\'m becoming suspicious, did you have this in mind already when you designed that figure for Steve? ;) And why am I not surprised you mentioning dwarves. Hmm, can\'t picture you with a beard though. :p lol

I\'m checking post and messages here, doing shopping and then I\'m coming over with the counters.

@minimaker No actually I didn\'t have that in mind when making the concept art at all. In fact Steve\'s figure works better than my drawing as far as likeness goes. And I just realised there might have unconciously slipped something in as likeness (for I do occasionally take pictures of myself as pose drawing aid)

Oke are we gonna go off on a Female dwarves DON\'T/DO have beards rant here to ;) Oke boxinggloves at the ready... Female dwarves DON\'T have beards!!!!... There :p

Cindy: you see, you see, I\'m not the only one! :D

By the way, Frenchkid, her reaction to me telling her this was <quoted from Jenova\'s forum> \"prrrfffff :p\" lol

Ok, so shall we do a \"yourself in miniature\" gallery here?

Hmm, odd how you think my Si\'Rene mini looks more like you than the concept. I don\'t think I knew what you looked like while sculpting it. Spooky...

That looks like the sound a lady dwarf would make mumbeling somthing through her beard :duh:

Heh, Cedric (green stuff) decided to pummel me until I gave him a description of a miniature that apparently I would become and considering my outlook of late I just had to blurt it on out ..

Ogre Butcher ...

He of course took that and ran with it and has something in mind. I\'m a bit skeeered now.

Oh, and welcome to the forums cdukino.
