Hehe I\'ll add my 2 cents to the argument if it means I don\'t have to get back to my homework for 5 minutes.
We had a Mac back in the day, and PC\'s for about 10 years since then. Currently I\'m typing on my nice little former-top-of-the-line gaming PC and it\'s had a number of minor problems over the years. The PSU that came with my case ended up being crap, I went through three of them on warranty before switching to a brilliant (both high quality and also plated with chrome) Antec model. I\'ve had some minor issues with peripherals over the years, including some warranty work on the gorgeous 20\" LCD screen I got (currently could use the same part being replaced again, but no longer on warranty), but never once had a virus and never once had to reinstall Windows or reformat my hard drive.
Our old \"family computer\" finally kicked the bucket a couple years ago after serving us for ages. P3 700MHz and it too was top of the line at one point. Anyway a billion years after we got it, it finally had a serious OS failure and got wiped
My best guess is that I\'ll be getting a Macbook Pro the next major hardware update they make. I should be able to put away a ton of cash this summer and it would be nice to get a laptop to replace this thing for everyday usage.
The guy I got this PC from lost his Microsoft Liscense Key and as such my copies of Windows and Office XP are no longer valid... so some of my Drivers can\'t be updated and I\'m generally quite pissed off at it all the time.
With a Mac I\'ll just buy Windows at student discount when a decent build comes out, and consider getting the new version for Adobe CS for $200 again. The original CS for $200 was probably the best software purchase I ever made. Almost worth it for Acrobat Pro alone
