mixing glues can give you cool results super glue and white glue, plastic glue and white glue or just playing with straight up UHU is fun too :)

Uh... Uhu glue? I have never heard of that. Is it the same as rubber cement?

I am actually one step ahead of you guys. How about some melted 40k template sprue... Maybe if i cut off the crappy tubes I can have some ooze leaking out of there? ;) I'll try and get a photo up tonight.

Okay, that is hands down the best effect I've seen. It has a real sense of movement to it!

HOW DID YOU DO THAT! That is as canny put it...SICK! You should also think about some on the grate and dripping below that leak.

BFK, the colors on the copper are a nice warm brown I make from Reaper Muddy Brown and Magma Red, about 50/50 then I picked up a bottle of Vallejo German Orange in the bargain bin at the Local Game Store. It is a pretty crappy looking color that looks very much like Thousand Island dressing with a tad too much mayonnaise in it but it really pulled out that copper color. I used Burnt Sienna Golden high flow artist acrylic to shade between the two then added pure white to get up to my pure white highlight. I added Reaper Muddy Olive to my warm brown for the shadows. For the SENMM I just added pure black and shaded down to that for the horizon line.

To me, the placement of highlights, along with passable blends, is much more important than color choice for the NMM.

Added more melty sprue. I hope I am not over doing it ...

I could not find UHU glue locally so I got some loctite clear outdoor glue that the internet said was similar. I added paint to it but it was very opaque. Tomorrow I should be able to stop by the art supply store and pick up some fluorescent green transparent ink to hopefully make some more toxic sludge for the base. I snipped of the armpit chain and added a drop of toxic sludge coming out of the hand-mouth.

I may have also snipped off the armpit growth thing to replace it with a big spluge of sludge... also added some magenta and dark red to the face area to make things pop more. Then I added green vaeins then some wash of light pink so i need to add more magenta and dark red to make it pop more again.

I need at least another week for this one.

great effect mate, love the first picture of the melted sprue. think i need a tutorial there!

however, less is usually more and to me its a bit much in that last picture.

With your copper, that's quite the mixture. Looks like mostly reaper and VMC line tho. Seems like the important thing is, regardless of manufacturer, the base is a dark brown mixed with dark red mixed with a pale orange. Not sure what burnt sienna would be, but add white to highlight. This more or less correct?

im not sure if the green goo is too much now or not. Need more angles...

Thanks for the comment Skelettets... I am going to put in some more hours on the green slime. I think it is a cool enough effect that it deserves some serious attention.

So the base is mid brown mixed with bright orange red, it makes a color very close to the burnt seinna. It's also a color I use as a base for flesh tones. The burnt seinna i have is an ink so it is really easy to blend with. The german orange is a pale orange that almost looks like a flesh tone too then just add white to build upt to your highlight. Mix some green back in for the darker shadows.

Im with Blood on this. I think the sludge gives the figure a nice range of movement to it, but more angles are needed. There is no doubt that it looks awesome and an amazing effect.

Did my OSL spray... I am really glad I stopped when I did. I think I might have gone a puff too far, (I am sure all your Green Wednesday posters can relate to that) but I am pretty frickin' happy with my results:

Here he is without the base. I left it off so I could spray back up onto the model. That's a lot of green... Also ditched all the busy crap in his armpit... I will add a looter Grot dragging it away...

Here he is with the base. I think the OSL works pretty good! Not subtle... but the green really ties the his belly and armor-eyes together and backs up my Toxic Sprue. I do think I need to figure out a better freehand for that left shoulder plate. Should I just try and freehand a bio-hazard sign? Nurgle symbol? The toxic triangle thingy?

Here is a nice shot of the toxic goop coming out his Shark Mouth Hand. The shiny sprue got a little over spray on it I am hoping I can fix it with some gloss varnish. If not, it's okay still looks awesome and I can nail it next time. I think I need to go back in and fix the divot on his large horn.

I am still going to add a bunch of subtler green slime to the area around his feet and dribbling out of the mouths he has in his armpit... I am NOT going to use sprue just green paint and glue or one of the gel mediums I picked up.

I love my airbrush! As the brits say, "I am well chuffed!"

I think I might have to use this on the rest of the DV set :)
