Hmm, maybe next year we can do a AFB sequel. Maybe like a space suit with tentacles coming out of it hosting Thanksgiving dinner?

Definitely have some glowy bits slated for this lady. BTW Bailey, and everyone else, I have really fallen in love with the Reaper Brick Red color. I would never use it for bricks but it's a great super deep red/purple that has this weird almost blue cast to it. After it settles on the wet pallet it looks electric blue. Good color. The bottom of the JetBinoculars is colored with that and shaded with Walnut Brown, another great color from Reaper.

Thor-Modeling looks great. Have to dig into that after dinner. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. Even if you aren't celebrating, it's a great day to pause for a second and think about everything that went right to get you here and maybe have a Turkey Sandwich. Or, butternut squash sauteed in thyme, lavender blossoms, and truffle oil served over walnut oil poached Broccoli Raab... if you are going Master Class :) Swedish Vegans, Looking at you guys!

Haha, Happy Thanks Giving to you to Demi. All seriousness your painting is incredible no mater what you seem to be painting. Always a pleasure to watch the new stuff you do and really enjoy seeing the creative ideas you bring to life.

The pic I couldn't see before has shown up, so whatever u did fixed it. Your AB skills are commendable. I'd like to pick one up sometime. A Grex maybe? Banshee recommends this and he has never let me down with advice. The guy co-invented Scale75 metallics, so I trust him...

The vision in my left eye is completely degraded. I can't see well at night at all, yet my right eye is perfect while I am messed up both near AND far with my left. I think I know why. I have worn night vision goggles for hundreds of hours, almost every night for 3 non-consecutive years. My last tour I got to field test these high speed thermal night optics, but these had a truly blinding white light to them. I wear the NVGs over my left eye, or non-dominant eye, so that my shooting eye isn't blinded if I need to shoot with it suddenly. But the NVGs cast a bright, bright green glow that can't be good on the eyes. Seriously, I often paint with my left eye closed just so I can see what I am doing. I need a monocle.

Sounds like you need to paint a scene as if it were seen through night goggles!

Also, if you get an airbrush, get a decent, quiet compressor, and then pick up one of those cheapy airbrushes first. If you like it you can always upgrade.

Finished my banner for skeletor.

You can make really thin banners that are tough and flexible from green stuff by rolling greenstuff out between two pieces of wax paper or plastic. I actually used a freezer bag with a bit of vaseline smeared in it. The GS rolled right out. I probably could have been a little more patient shaping the banner but I am pretty happy with the results. The trick is to let the Green Stuff cure for about 45 minutes. You want it to be firm enough that it won't take tool marks or finger prints easily, but is still soft enough to shape ripples and what not into it.

The "rope" for lashing the mast and spars together is a very thin flexible wire from the cord of some cheap-o head phones that ended up in the bitz box. A little super glue holds it together. I used heavier copper wire and some tiny eye bolts looted from the wife's beading supplies to make the heavier rigging attaching the mast to his back. The wife does some beading and makes some really neat jewelry. Now that I think about it, I hope the little studs aren't like gold plated or something...

The mast, or banner pole, is an old paint brush handle, a piece of sprue and a toothpick.

What do you think?

Eye patch?

Ingenious, you remind me of me, always trying all kind of stuff. That is what is cool about this hobby, imagination with no end. You should see all what I did with my dremel on those pewter minis, I still have the same dremel then when I did all the conversions on my Chaos dragon, the mask of Egrimm van horstmann I made it into a skull. ("tried the hardest I could")

Anyway fun project, looking forward to see the updates.

Oh yeah talking about jewelries, from time to time with the same dremel I cut and polish opal gemstones :) I still have a ring to make for the Mrs... with a huge red fire raw opal "incredible", I am nervous just to think about starting that... Ok ok not so huge, nice one ;)

No wonder he is angry...he has a banner pole shoved in his arse.

The banner looks nice. I need to play with GS more.

Thanks guys! Here is another update, yes that's right. Double update Monday! Got a bunch more paint on the Pan O Infinity trauma doc. Following Bailey's basic skin recipe yet again! How's the med gun working for everyone?

If your going to do an eye patch have it held in place with studs rather than a cord, Infinity model looks great and like the med gun
