Hey i don't blame you one bit Demi. If I painted a face that well I would not want to risk messing it up either. Where do you get this figure at?

I changed her weapons and shaved off a bunch of her boob armor. The way the armor was sculpted really made her look like she had big fruit cakes or something over her chest. It looked stupid to me. That's also why that area looks a little hacked up now.
LMAO... Fruitcakes. Ahahaha. That's to funny. I see what you mean and have to agree, your mod came out much better than the actual mini itself.

Here are the painted bases for the ebay Killa Kans I will probably go over them once more once I get the ork mechs mounted on them.

I fixed my air compressor! Happy Day! I hadn't been draining the tank and some rusty crap got up into the check valve. It all unbolted easily and with a little soap and water we were back in business! As soon as I get a few minutes I will start spraying the Killa Kans.

I want to do a mini diorama with the thief where she is setting off a trap to squish a squish a bad guy but I need to figure it out so she is on the shelf for now. In the meantime I have cleaned off desk and am determined to make some head way on the terminators.

So cool my friend. I can't wait to see your kanz. Do you have any Kustom work on those? Also I would put the Nators on the shelf and work on the more important things like... More orks, some Grots and other orks things :p Gork would be proud.

I finished the experimental e-bay killa kans!

Here are my results:

Hours break down
.5 - Shopping on e-bay and stripping
1.5 - build and paint bases, minor repairs on models, primer
1.5 - Airbrush and frisket
1 - Base coat all the hydraulics and gears, non-yellow bits, and what-not
2 - Checkers! and repair foot again
3 - Painting eyeholes, washes, sponge and dry brush on some more metallics
1 - Pin to bases - repair foot again and repair another foot too.
1 - [still to be done] Photograph and post on e-bay

11.5 - work hours total

So... 11.5 hours @ a $10 an hour target = $115 + $30 that I paid for the models = $145. Hmm, seems a little steep.

To be honest I would be very happy to get $120 for these guys. I really have no idea what they are worth. I have been watching e-bay and 40K stuff does not go for cheap but decently painted stuff seems like it sits on there for a while and I would like to avoid that.

What do you guys think? Start the bidding at $25 each? I figure I need to make at least $5 an hour. That works out to $57.5 + 30 = $87.5.

Another question is, should I sell them as a unit or separate them?

Here are some step by step WIP photos to look at while you think about how to help me corner the e-bay Killa Kan market:

Please fill this wip up with replies fast so my eyes stop melting from the BARF above.

As for your models Demi, I can buy the lot of 3, assemble, prime and paint for roughly 60 to 70 dollars. That gets me a HORRAY I got something on a table with pretty colors. You however have made something WONDERFUL and well worth 100 at the very least. I would get them myself only I have like 6 or 9 of the little turds sitting in a box somewhere waiting for the light of day once more. I think spliting them up you might sell them faster as it would be easy for most people to snipe a badass paint job kan here and there. Well done, and Gork would definately be proud.

Digga is right, not about the barf, but the selling them as a unit. First thing people ask when seeing a set is: Can I just buy one?

This thread took a strange (and warped) twist...i do not have much useful to add, but do appreciate your financial breakdown. Very interesting stuff.

Apologies Demi. Though I'm shocked semi nude men have you all so distracted o_O Anyway, I don't think you will have much trouble getting rid of those kanz.
