Love the nnm gold. Gonna steal that for sure. I want a bit more darkness at the top of those gems near the glint. Just a touch, like a teeny tiny little glaze of blue. Squint damn it! SQUINT!

Dude, there is no way. I am going to have to dig out my giant novelty quarter to show you how small they are... :)

Here are some early shots of my Giant Display Base™

What do you think? Ratkin is on there for some scale. Do you guys like the plinth thing at the bottom? Is it too much?

Is this for Joanie? I fear she might be lost on it unless you make it dark and cool to push it into the BG and draw attention to her.

Yes for Joanie. She's a lot taller than rat dude. What if I add a bad guy to the bottom and make it a dio...

I think her pose would work great for being up on that ledge/balcony. It is a large base, but that just means you should use color and light/dark to direct the viewer's focus to the figure. I'd try some preshading with the airbrush and really focus the light on where you're placing the figure. Using color or lack of color is another way to guide the eye to where you want it.

If you want to add more figures that's fine too. Although you need to decide what story you want to tell. With Joan looking up, placing one or two bad guy below her turns it into an ambush scene. Or you could have it swarming with bad guys (sort of like Jarhead's Last Light piece) and then the story becomes a last stand with Joan praying for the strength to defeat her overwhelming foes. Are their any flying figures? You could stretch the scene vertically even more, place a figure above and in front of her for a duel scene.

@Zab LOL.

@Bailey I do want to play with light an OSL. I love the swarming bad-guy idea but I also don't want to kill myself painting 10 more figs before I get the satisfaction of posting Joanie in the gallery. I am kind of thinkingg about a little hidden "Zero" character behind the tower. Here is a pic of the "Zero" Seems like a pretty easy paintjob... famous last words

Like the zero model, nice skulking pose, is there a jump trooper in the same faction that could be assaulting Joan from above to focus her eye on while the zero sneaks in for the kill ?

WGS, There is a bunch of jumpy stuff for the game, but I kind of like Joan's pose focused directly on the viewer. Maybe like she is asking the viewer to help her? Maybe I can add some pro-Joan propaganda some how.

What about a floating bill board with the propaganda on ?

A la Futurama? Totally!

Okay, been a long time since I put anything in the gallery. Decided to call the Infinity Pan-O Fusiliers done and get some snaps together. I thought it would be easy to do a group photo...It came out good but what a PITA. Here is the teaser. I'll post a link when I am approved.

Pretty good - the photo, the minis are mint. Your depth of field though seems a bit shallow are you using AP or macro?
