Feel Your Age

Got my BA

I got my BA when I was 26. However, I spent the better part of 8 years of my childhood in a coma, so it\'s like I got my BA when I was 18. See, I am the smartest!

Actually, that part about the coma is a lie. Unless you consider having my eyes glued to the TV playing Nintendo a coma.

Bachelor\'s Degrees are over rated. I\'d gladly give mine up, and \"all the privledges contained therein\" if I could also give up the debt that is \"contained therein.\"

ps. Apparently I\'m angry at something. My last 5 posts have been rants. I think I need to do some self analysis.

Thank you, thank you! Now this would make an excellent recommendation letter or a \"highlights\" section in a resume
You could put this forum in your list of references. lol

Oh dear...

I thought I had it bad...
I\'m heading for my 23rd birthday on Sep. 23. , my gf is just 7 months younger... and neither of us has a clue what the heck is going on with the kids today!!!
I mean, today\'s kids are... well... kids! Lucky me I\'m no longer a target person for all those ringtone-ads on mtv and stuff, but sometimes... Guess studying archeology and egyptology requires some old-fashioned mindset... either that or it\'s the fact I\'m still sitting in my Greek language course with people 3-4 years younger than me...
*rant off*
Well, at least its comforting to know that my coffin-dodgin\' years are still to come...

And by the way, I\'d rather not feel my age. I just turned 30 this year and it is the very first time in my life I have actually regretted a birthday. I have white in my beard, which is said to be a sign of wisdom, I am losing my hair, which is said to be a sign of virility, and I sincerely believe that anyone between the ages of 15 and 25 simply does not understand how the world works. I say that because I am past it and I didn\'t know.

And you know what? The fact that I actually believe what I just said scares the hell out of me! I have made a life out of not growing up. Then suddenly I turn around and I\'m married, I have 2 kids, 4 cats, a dog, a house, two cars, and a mountain of debt, and I think \"Holy sh*t, what happened?\"

I am just about two more teenager comments away from a complete and total mid-life crisis and I don\'t think I can afford it! Dear God! I am worth more dead than alive. Do you realize what you\'ve done to me!?!?!?!? Do you? Why did you have to show me that web site????????

Why? Why? Why?

Somebody help me. I can\'t stop. I have crows feet. I have heart burn. I actually keep Tums in my desk drawer. What happened to my vitality.

Does anybody remember the move Black Hole? I do. Oh lord. I actually saw Star Wars in the movie theaters when Greedo didn\'t shoot first. I watched Empire Strikes Back on Beta-max. I can remember when there wasn\'t an Epcot Center.

Well, as long as we\'re sharing...

\'Vike and I share the same age and graduation year, 1986. We actually SAW the first video on MTV and remember the He-Man days, along with \"Happy Days\", and such.

Let\'s see, married once, divorced, she\'s my best friend, remarried last year (just passed the anniversary), now with 3 kids, 2 cats, and a puppy. Just sent the the oldest off to school 60 miles away and she\'s not even 13 yet...:(

And now I\'m having painter\'s block....

Grrrr...

[edit]Forgot to mention: happy birthday leopardpixie! Way to go, Margo! And happy anniversary to you others!

ok, ok

I admit. It\'s not all bad. I have a great wife of 7 years, and two great kids, 4 year old girl, 1.5 year old boy. But the kids are killing me. I mean it.

Does anyone baby sit?

Seriously.

Jim - no, married somebody different. My ex was my \"best man\" at my wedding, though!

Moan moan moan (we\'ve had this conversation before).
:)

My first post, but I\'ll dive right in (I\'ve been lurking for a while).
I spent the past year dodging the coffin quite vigorously. It\'s not chasing me quite as hard now, but it\'s still hovering out there somewhere.

It\'s hovering out there for all of us...

No point trying to avoid the inevitable...No harm in trying to delay it either:D

Glad things are looking up and welcome to the CMON forums..:D

are you doing that on purpose?

Ok...now I am still confused....

You ex was not a guy, right?

;);)

\'Vike - sorry, not doing it on purpose...

I thought if I put \"best woman\", that would throw people off.

My ex-WIFE (a woman then and still one now) and I are best friends. We divorced on the best of terms and remain close. My wife and I wanted a small wedding party, so we each had one person. by chance, it happened to be my ex-wife was my \"best woman\", and her best friend (a guy) was her \"Man of honor\".

Now my ex-wife and current wife are very good friends. Takes alot of the pressure off, know what I mean?

Think THAT\'S odd, I work at a large insurance company, and with me work my wife, ex-wife, oldest friend, his wife, my mom, and a very good friend (sniffles, new member).

How\'s that for a \"friends and family\" plan?

speaking of friends and family....

I know what you mean there....

I work for a \'major telephone\' company, as does my wife, 2 brothers, and brother-in-law.

My mother just recently retired from the same company, and both of my sisters (and yet another brother-in-law) have all had jobs here.

Luckily most of them leave work at work, and we don\'t have to discuss it during family functions....

BTW...I really wasn\'t all that confused, I just like yanking your chain!!lollol
