What is really annoying is that the fans don\'t know the song is a remake. I remember knowing people who thought Run DMC wrote \"Walk This Way\" - even though Steven Tyler added his voice to the track AND was in the video!
What I hate is when you bought an album (remember those?) when it first came out and someone hearing the song on the radio calls it \"a classic.\"

I believe it. My friend in the US got her at 19 or 20. Some kind of excellerated program.

here in the states you can take Dual Credit or Advanced Placement classes, which means you get the credit for highschool and college, you can also take summer classes or extra classes, the Valadictorian of our class was like 9 classes from his masters. (crazy kid)

but yeah thats how the kids in the states avoid college!:flip:

Just shows how stupid some kids are. Who\'d want to avoid college?
It\'s not avoiding the college but the bills. I had my AA at 18 and only had to pay for books and the last quarter of school. :p

Hmm, all this talk of feeling old - well, at 37 almost 38 (December myself), I found a fountain of youth - Iraq - the sandstorms will blast all those pesky wrinkles away, and doging all the fun stuff that flies around here will take years off of you - plus the heat and the food and the walking will cause the pounds to melt away. Then theres the joy of working with 19 and 20 year olds who are amazed when you tell them that your mustache is older than they are.

Sorry folks, just a hard day at work over here - just not up to my usual sarcastic banter.

There\'s a saying in the UK that you feel old when the policemen look young, I\'ll add to that you feel really old when the Doctors look like kids!
Happened to me recently!

Want to know the real sign of aging? For me it happened as I was turning 30ish. I suddenly realized my parents were right about (pick dang near any topic).

I graduated HS in 87 and college with a dual BS in 99 (on the military drink and work lots, school as little as we can possibly arrange plan).

Things I remember from my childhood that seem alien to 18 year olds today.

-Home computers have always existed... always. I remember the Atari 800 and the Vic 20 coming home. Heck on the Vic you got a book of games you had to program yourself to play.

-Video games were something you had to go to the corner grocer or a pizza place to play.

-Coca Cola was just Coca Cola, not Coke Classic.

- TV had such gems as Emergency and 1 Adam 12. Cartoons happened on saturday mornings and Mtv was some fledgling part time station. Cable TV in California was called \"ON TV\" and happened for 4 hours a night with the same 2 movies all week.

-Album, 8track, or cassette were options.

-When the President was on, the President was on all 4 stations... PERIOD.

-Superbowls had less than two roman numerals attached to them.

-Bigwheels were the best toy ever.

Just random musings from an old guy with teens of his own. I sometimes ponder how I ever produced such screwed up individuals as my kids, then realize its just part of the growing up process.

You\'re not old yet, Tirnan.

When I was younger, home computers didn\'t exist. Computers only belonged to the govt. and huge corporations, and they took up entire rooms and had to be programmed with punch cards.

I saw my first home video game console when I was 14.

TV had 3 channels and was in black-and-white until I was 12. I saw the Beatles when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time in 1964.

But then I stop to think about what life was like for my mother. They didn\'t have electricity or indoor plumbing when she was a kid. She sometimes rode a horse to school and her family still had a buggy, though they also had a Model A Ford car. When she was 8 their house burned down and she had to run a mile to the neighbors to get help - no phone. They had to pump water into buckets to throw on the fire.

It\'s all relative. Our kids will probably complain about how they had to put *gas* in their cars and *type* commands into their computers when they were young.

Like in that star trek movie when Scottie is trying to talk into the mouse.
