hooray, GW released new rules for german GD today:
sooo here are the new rules - still too much limitations, but now for everyone
- everyone can attend a maximum of 3 different categories
- all entered minis must be citadel, GW, forgeworld or scratchbuild minis
- conversions are allowed (oh GW is soooo gentle ) but has to hit the GW-background
- entries have to be delievered by the artist
- they keep their right to say *no we don´t accept this entry*
- winners of a former years cat are banned from the winning cat but can enter any other cat
funny: the slayersword is given to the overall winner on the day of Gamesday, but GW keeps their right to send the sword to the winner with snailmail later on
cats:
fantasy single: as usual, everything on a non-monster-base is right here
fantasy monster: guess what
fantasy squad: 10-30 minis of a regiment with command group .... no more fantasy command group .... don´t know if i like this new rule, but depending on last years few entries here it won´t help this cat
40k single: on 25mm or 40mm roundbase
40k squad: a squad following the rules of a codex or inomine patris .... not so good for home-made chapters
40k monster/vehicle: tanks and monsters you know
=I=/big scale: for all 54mm scale minis - scratchbuild, converted or original
bloodbowl: a complete bloodbowl-team
diorama: guess what not bigger then 30cmx30cmx30cm
lotr single mini: a single lotr-mini on 25mm roundbase
lotr squad: at least 4 minis not placed in a diorama or scene, those will be judged in diorama section
costumes: for all freaks out there
youngbloods: for all under 14 years, entry should be a single mini
open: you know, the bigger the better
staff: only cat the GW-staffers are allowed to enter .... believe me it´s really the only available cat
being restricted to 3 possible categories is a bit sad, but means to concentrate on a few entries. Now it is the question where to enter. Get a sure win in those weak cats like lotr or bloodbowl, or have a good fight in the hardest cats like warhammer single or warhammer monster.
Now i really hope that a lot of painters from different countries come to germany
