Thanks for your care, guys! It means a lot for us, indeed!
Although I am not Ana herself, I am writing on her behalf now.
It\'s not the first time that something like this happened to us (well, actually to two or three painters from the Chest of Colors team) that people bought minis and then entered them into competitions.
Twice they were \"lucky\" enough to win nothing, but then one person entered Ana\'s models and took silver with the entry. He felt so ashamed with this act that he immediately emailed the information to us, and forwarded the trophy to us. Unfortunately he entered the models in his own name, but GW were notified about it and asked what to do about it. The response was that the award might be cancelled per our request, but it would be a lot of work to undo what was already done.
As the person already apologized, confessed it all in public, and sent Ana the trophy, we didn\'t do much about it.
But the whole thing left a bit bitter-sour taste in our mouths. Some people (who don\'t know Ana in person) accused her of trying to win trophies in illegal way, but thanks to several people who know her and who admitted it wouldn\'t be like her to act like that, the whole noise ended.
Anyway, we thought it was already over and nobody else would do anything like that. But this time, after the GD in Baltimore, we received an email that Ana\'s won another trophy with the Dark Angels.
Hey, we thought, what\'s going on? She didn\'t even enter them in Poland because she didn\'t know who converted them and if the person would agree to entering them.
And the owner was aware of this. At least he had the guts to enter them in her name.
But what about the jury? Or is it not obvious in the US that Anna is a female name? ???
Still, we decided to wait for any photos or official confirmation that the rumor was true.
Now, thanks to Matt she learned about it and as far as I know they\'ve already explained it all to each other. Matt is much more active CMONer than Ana, so we can only thank him for keeping Ana up to date with what\'s going on.
I can provide the name of the owner who entered the minis to anybody who is in touch with the GD staff. Please email/PM me about it, OK?
The miniatures were entered without permission, but in the name of the actual painter. It\'s true - she was not present at the event, was not aware they would be entered. I don\'t think the owner\'s intentions were bad, maybe just a bit silly.
As for the author of the conversions - as I said, we don\'t know who did it, and I think this information is present in descriptions of these Dark Angels on CMON. And it was the reason why she entered the Nurgle squad and not these guys at Golden Demon in Poland.
If you need anything more - like information or stuff, just drop me a line, and I\'ll do my best to provide it promptly.
Thanks for your care once more!
