Ok, yeah. Trust me these pictures do none of the entries justice. Some things that were amazing in real life look like table top in these pics.

UPDATE:

I contacted Games Workshop, and the collector did the same. So they are aware of the situation and his motivations.

He apologized for the inconvenience caused, and told he meant nothing wrong.
I agree - if his intentions were bad, he would have entered the minis in his own name.

Things like this wouldn\'t happen if people only read the rules.. How many who have entered a Demons or contest recently can actually admit you took the time to read the rules carefully and fully.

actually I\'ve read the rules pretty thoroughly...obviously I\'m worrying unnecessarily when I am concerned as to whether my model will pass muster because it\'s a 40mm not 25mm base... it\'s a shame that this has happened, but congrats to Ana for some great models :) The Demon is morally hers :)

I feel sorry for the Person who finished with Bronze when it should have been Silver and the unknowen person who didn\'t get the Bronze Demon that they should have got. :(

Yes I feel the same :(
But if you want  we can take things into our hands and give the silver demon to the person who placed third, and the broze one to the person who placed fourth  But with that action we should wait for answer of GW, maybe they will do it and \"the fair winners\" will have photos in White Dwarf.

Thanks to all of you for keeping open eyes on events, and for kind words. I was worried that the second such situation will create a shameful and untrue image of me (pretty poor at cheating :])
I count on your alertness in future ;)

ana, this whole situation is a compliment to your work...
you shouldn\'t be the one who feels bad...
angry, yes, but it\'s not your fault...
we all know that you and the rest of the crew are a bunch of talented painters...

next year you will have to come over and win one in person here in america...

cheers
jah

Exactly. I would be honored to meet you in person, as it has been SUCH a pleasure to photograph your beautiful models.

When Ensel recognized these miniatures we were kinda wondering where Ana is hiding, because it would be very nice to have over in the Lounge. Now,being paranoid, I am wondering though, there were miniatures from Joe Orteza. Did he entered them in person?

Yeah, I ran into Joe on his way out. He\'s a nice guy. The inner harbor is right there and it\'s a lot of fun. That\'s where my friends and I hang out in the middle of the day.

Yep, it was Joe that accepted his trophy at the awards ceremony. I was disappointed I didn\'t get to see him at all during the day, as I met him several years ago in Atlanta and he is a really great guy.

It was good to finally meet you though Zach, as well as Aaron, Bennett, and Dylan. Todd, despite his claim to not be a teacher, did an excellent job with his class. Both of the guys I came with agreed it was a highlight of our trip. I wish I\'d had more time to hang out over at the demon lounge and meet everyone else. I don\'t know where the whole day went, and I didn\'t even get to sneak over to the bar at lunch for a frosty beverage.

Anyway, congratulations to everyone. I\'m sure Dirty did everyone proud with his pics. Hopefully GW will get them posted soon.

Hello, I am part of the Golden Demon staff. First of all, thank you for bringing this to our attention. This isn\'t the first time the Coolmini crowd has kept the masses honest!

We\'ve received an email from the fella that entered the models on Ana\'s behalf. He\'s new to the hobby and was unaware that you couldn\'t enter models for someone else.

He\'ll be sending us back the Silver Demon which will go to Dave Taylor for his Bloodpact squad.

The Bronze Demon will then go to Chris Lopez for his Dark Angels squad. They are shown as honorable mentions on the Stuff of Legends site.

Unfortunately, our website server is experiencing problems that have kept us from putting up the coverage this week, but gods of technology willing, we should have all the coverage up next week.

Thanks again!

thats a good conclusion to a unfortunate mess. Nice to see things that make the hobby great coming to the fore- community spirit/. Bravo to GW too for rectifying the situation. they often get slated but they should be praised for that

Now that\'s what we call fair and well done!

Thanks for clearing the situation. Hopefully it won\'t leave a bad taste after it\'s over...

Thanks!

Agreed, with no offence intended towards the painter.

After seeing all of the official pics... it\'s a little sad that questioning the judges is a cliche at this point, because there are numerous questionable placements.
