Hmmmmmm I\'m getting half tempted to just buy a ticket and go despite swearing that I would never do Gamesday again. I haven\'t seen it in the new venue yet but I assume that it\'s going to be a damn sight better than it was in the last place.

Then again £25 is a lot to pay just to gawp at minis and stuff that I\'ll probably end up buying later down the road anyway.......

Decisions???

Well after deliberating for many months I have decided that i will go this year, I have yet to get my ticket but I will be doing that in the next day or two.
I went to the GD in 05 and actually enjoyed it quite alot entered the Demons for the first time and was a finalist.
So I might enter something this year too.

Ok, ordered my ticket. Not very excited about waking up at 5 though!

I even bought a miniature I might actually paint for the GD. Haven\'t been painting for ages!

The doors open at 10 I believe and if you are entering GD then you can get in at 9 so therefore I would say getting up at 5 was a reasonable idea to get from London to Birmingham.

Thanks for letting me know the time... I do think i\'ll be riding up as I only ever see 5am if I am still up from the night before.

I dont think tickets can be bought on the door, and last year the golden demon entrants seemed to be let in later than the standard pleebs, virtually impossible for me to get to the forgeworld stand.

Oh and wrap up your entries well, I was absolutely soaked!

I think as was mentioned earlier the non demon entrants were let in at the same time because the weather was so bad and it caused a lot of problems between ebayers and collectors because they snapped up all the pre-release stuff 10 or 15 of the same item at a time and by that afternoon it was on ebay :cussing: so the poor collectors and fan boys didn\'t get a look in by 10:10 the sales stands had no pre-release stock left.

In contrast the weather on the Saturday down in Folkstone for Euro-Militaire was scorching :D

Hey all, got my gamesday ticket now, yea not looking forward to the early get up
and coach journey especially since im going with my friend who just doesnt sleep at regular times. So more than likely we wont sleep the night before. Looking forward to seeing entries, and buying some new high elves whats every1 else looking forward to? Hope the ebayers dont get it all first though

Im just looking forward to meeting everyone more than anything.

I have very little money so I\'m not excited about pre-release stuff. And I have no hope\'s of placing in the comp (though I\'m going to try!)

O and seeing everyone\'s stuff in person will be cool!

As i have said previously, it is unlikely that there will be High Elves at Gamesday. There may be a character or two, but those are literally the numbers. One or two will be there and frankly unless you\'re Buzz Lightyear there is basically no chance you will get them.
I have spoken to the store manager and at Warhammer World and that was what he says. Also i have seen the program and there is ONE picture of something HE related. Apocalypse is the main focus of the event and there will almost 100% be nothing more than previews of the new figures.
I may be wrong but frankly, i am not hoping. The Elves come out late October i think so there was no point in having them there at the same time as all the Apocalyse stuff.
Possibly rather unnecessary rant over, but i feel it necessary for you to know.

May be wrong but.....;)

EDIT: I didn\'t realise on my previous post, but, yay....100 posts!!!! O, me joints...:D

well got the ticket confirmed I will be flying back from the wedding the night before land at 2.am then set off at 6 and games day bound..time to crack on with my entries.....looking forward to it.....

Was happily flicking through my old white dwarfs today when I happened to stumble upon a certain mugshot in issue 255;) :D

I myself will try to get in as quick as possible and try to get to the entrants door at 8 am or something like that, maby earlier :p

btw... anyone decided where the CMON meet-up will be the saturday before GD?

I suppose if I hadn\'t of got a stay at Dave\'s i could have camped outside the NEC all night, then been first in the que! Haha!
