Please don\'t tar me with the same brush as the troll - I put my points forward in a reasonable manner - I did not deliberately insult anyone and I don\'t believe I said anything untrue.
Rev and Hex - please don\'t take offense - but you have to understand I am skeptical when every single one of your figure posts has an advertisement for stone circle games, griffon miniatures or harbinger magazine (who I assume are all the same company/people). You may not work for them any more but that does not mean you do not have a vested interest. At the very least your opinions are based on your friendship with the author rather than on objective truth.
Regardless of how good or poor the magazine is, I fully expect gushing posts from the two of you about how great it is. Remember people - pinch of salt.
I\'m glad I chose to post this anonymously as I guess you would have ostracised me from the community if I used my real login.
I don\'t believe Harbinger is a scam, but based on objective evidence (missed website updates, people not getting replies to their emails, erasing the entire magazine etc.) I have serious doubts about their ability to produce a monthly magazine, and if the magazine folds you have little or no chance of getting your money back.
I am simply advising people that taking a subscription out is a risk. If you take that risk and the magazine folds after 1 or 2 issues then don\'t say me (and the troll, in his own special way) didnt tell you so. Buy it at the newsagent and you do not take that risk.
My point about saving a tree stands. What exactly will this magazine give you that half an hour on CMON won\'t? Since I discovered CMON I havent looked at my old WDs, Golden Demon books etc. - they are dated. CMON is always current, and has work which far surpasses anything I have on paper.
