Sounds cool what does it involve?

I work for the UK government in a what they call a \"customer facing role\" (interestingly the powers that be have decided that \"customer\" is the best term for people who more often than not have no choice at all in whether and how they deal with my department).

Like lots of government jobs around the world my job involves lots of rules mostly thought up by politicians. Then the politicians turn around and say \"hey you lot have too many rules you are bureaucratic, inflexible and wastefull\". My job is a world of budget cuts, increasing workloads and low pay. When the UK minimum wage was introduced the department required to enforce it had to give a large chunk of it\'s staff an impromptu payrise just to comply with this legislation lol

Some of my \"customers\" can be fairly confrontational. This has been helpfull for CMON as I now have not just a thick skin but armor-plated skin. When my greatest 18+ hour creation goes on CMON, and I wait 7 months for the 50 votes (slight exaggeration I know hehe) just to see it barely scrape a 6.0 I just shrug and make a cup of tea :)

At the moment you only \'feel\' that you have the weight of the world on your shoulders...give it time...you\'ll soon know when the real weight descends:innocent:
I definately know what that feels like, I once had a fat kid tackle me during gym, I broke my colar bone. lol.

I have resigned from student council now, so I basically am just a regular student....again.

Man, laughed so hard by beer came out my nose, thanks for sharing that.
I\'m teaching english in Spain, great job, shit money, the language schools try to rip you off left right and centre. Jacked it in about a two years ago and went to work in an export company, suddenly saw what a great job I\' given up. and came back to it after spending a year on the dole, (dole different here, you only get out what you\'ve previously put in, good system if you feel like a sabbatical.)
Zero prospects, scrape to reach the end of every month and pay the bills, but of all the different jobs I\'ve done, and there\'s been alot, it\'s the one Ive found the most fulfilling
