I didn´t make it for the 3 best ones in Stockholm area competition so perhaps better luck another time. I do have pictures of some different entries that I will post later. I didn´t stay for final nordic result since I needed to get home, but I do believe that Ischa have two or three of his pieces that made it to the top three in the nordic competition part. Will post some pictures of his models later today, really nice looking ones. Skels rat was lurking at the bottom shelf in the shadows, I might have a picture that works but it was very dark and difficult to take a photo down there...

Now back to family...

d'oh! hiding in the shadows is cool but not in a GW competition, just my luck then! but hopefully they looked closer at all the finalists when judging nordic competition, it was only five in each category after all. the results should be up today they said (on facebook).

Edit: obviously all the placings (1-3rd) in stockholm was competing against the other nordic stores first placings in the finals, which to me make it beneficial to enter in the stockholm store instead. if you want as much paper as possible, that is :D

congrats to Ischa who took the overall! proud of ye son! ;)

They did take out all minis to judge them in the same light, also the GW photograper was there and taking pictures of all entries. I will soon post some of my pictures from the event.

testing size of pic

Something wrong then I put it up since it is 400 wide at top normally, here it looks so small...wonder why. Perhaps my submitted pic also will be like this. any suggestions to solve this problem?

Perhaps there is a maximum length for a pic?

Btw for those that want a close up I guess jewelry glasses might be good...lol

Guess that my score might get lower with this big pictures, but well that is life :), and it will hopefully give good comments so that I can improve even more and that is the most important for me. Cheers,

I just can't stop staring at the cloak. The jewels and detail work all up to the helmet are just awesome. I wish I could give you something to improve on so PICTURE SIZE! There you go :) when you made the collage is it possible you saved/resized it in inch instead of pixels? What the CMON gods have taught me was to post it at about 600 pixels (not sure if thats for a collage...hold please) my last post up for a collage was 239 Pixels x 707 pixels and he came out like this on the voting http://www.coolminiornot.com/354460 Not sure but I probably put in a round number like 250 and let it auto fill then it did its funky thing that it does. Hope that helps.

Hey Kretcher! I think the area of the upper chest, throat and side of his helmet might need some more definition. Don't be afraid to push those shadows like you did on his lower cloak.

Thanks for the feedback I do agree with you Demi and perhaps I will revisit the figure later on to fix those areas. Zab and Digga thanks for your comments, btw Digga I believe that I will use larger pic from now on since it is easier to see the flaws and hopefully get more accurate feedback :) (hmm am I remember correctly that you standing beside Tom Cruise in a picture somewhere on this site? )

In any case the figure is up for voting :)

All I can say is wow! That cloak is amazing!

Actually I can say more...! I agree with Demihuman's comments, but I would also say that I love the base! The effect of the water is just lovely.

Thanks all for comments and help with my Farseer, now I am back after a detour with a Orc Shaman and some vacation in the summer house. Since my orc now have 8.5 or something around there I have said that my next figure I will do my best too reach 9.0 if possible. Hopefully I will reach my goal. Those that have follow my other work know that it will take some time until I am done :)

So please give harsh feedback so that I might be able to reach my magic goal :)

So which figure have I chosen for this high goal, a Engineer on mechanical steed from GW ( http://www.games-workshop.com/en-BE/Empire-Master-Engineer-on-Mechanical-Steed )
I have started on the metallic part to kind of get the feeling of it. First of is a picture from a distance to get a over all feeling and then a closeup on the metallic parts to get better feedback.
