Wow, wish I could paint OSL like you do. This is something I'm finding sooooo hard! Should you have any tips : there always welcome.

Looking forward to see more of your work,

Thanks for all the kind words, Gion I will try to write some tutorial on OSL the way I understand it, it is very hard for me also, I usually dont do it. I strugeled a lot on this piece, how will the light fall but still be visable from other side, since the light is coming from behind. Usually we paint with the light coming somwhere from the frontside or sides of the figure. I had to restart the trike 3 times before I was more or less happy. Timeconstraints made me stop.

Now I have started some genestealer cults, and I only have bad photos from my phone. very much WIP still on these ones, trying out diffrent colorchoices.

As usual not finished with the genestealers abouve, started a new model yesterday a ridgerunner that needs to be finished until thursday to a local competition. Will be decent wuality but not hte best. need to finish the figure, some more weathering and dust from the raod on the sides and wheels of the ridgerunner, then it is finished... well thóuchup on the freehand is needed.

Looking really good for a quick paint job, nice weathering and tonal range on the grey/blue.

That GSC buggy is calling to me to paint it...

I've seen a hell of a lot of Farseers but that one is one of the best. I love the cloak and colour scheme for this model, freehand can look a bit out of place but this feels subtle and refined.

Good luck on your new project!

I just found this thread and don't have anything specific to comment on, but after flipping through 10-15 pages of it I will definitely stay tuned. There is some great stuff throughout here and enjoy that you take on a variety of different pieces/styles.

Thanks everyone,

Now something diffrent, I have had a figure sitting on the table for 6 months now and done nothing, I think i wanted it to be very good. Last night I just Said that I dont care anymore and just started to scetch on it and worked for 30 min and decided it is done :) sometimes it is nice just to do something, not the best painted work but a nice study in OSL. I might continue in another 6 months :) or leave it as it is.

Hi all was a long time since I started something more serious and did a good step by step writeup off it. think it is time again to do that. I will be painting the wise woman from spira mirablis.

This post will be a short introduction and two pictures of progress.

I have decided to use peruan inspiration in combination of american indian. The focus is to make a colourful textured areas. goal to train on textures and skin color. I have started the figure and made some freehand so far, It looks ok, but I will restart it since it dosnt give the feeling of woven cloath, I have some more ideas on waht I should try. I will do a more proper write up on what i tried and why it didnt work as soon as I have experienced some more :)

For the moment you will have these two pictures. First one just priming and the way I wanted the light to fall and second is the start of some freehand.
