That's a cool model and I like the direction you're going. The bright colors will definitely look awesome if you can pull it off.

I agree. The scarf piece already looks really cool.

I also like the colors you have built up 8n the last couple minis you posted. Very cool work.

Wow, don't know where to start: the corrupted flesh is spot on, the metal looks great, the yellow cloth is amazing, the rust effects are spot on.
Sorry but no critique. Maybe the hammer head is too clean? hah!

Hey, Kretcher!
Never said it, but the abomination looks great. And the shiny green armor on the fantasy dudes is lovely.

I really like it too. I put this up yesterday and probably never hit quick reply . I do like the abberNts. Solid painting in a solid mini.

Regarding the use of oil paints...
What do you feel is the greatest benefit to using them instead of the normal acrylics?
What are some of the struggles that you have had to overcome because of the oils?

The idea of using oils, solely, really intrigues me; the realism that the Renaissance Masters were able to accomplish seems like something that could be really useful on larger scale busts/minis.

DaBeebs, I will take time to answer your question when given a bit more time. there is both both possitiv and negative sides of oil :)

But currently a bit to much to do. will do a write up on this soon.

These look amazing! Bright, vivid colors.
Any chance we can get some photos with a white background? The dark background makes it all look very atmospheric, and suits the paint job, but it does obscure half the models :)

Thanks guys, will take a pic with brighter background when they are home again. a friend borrowed them to play some

I have started a new project, one of many. this time aiming for more towards comepetition painting, we will see if I have the inspiration the whole way  Sculp is Lucas Pinas satyr´s. Started on it yesterday and here are two pics. Mostly worked on the faces but still a lot left to do.

First pic mostly worked on the lightskined and second one done more on the other figure.

The skin tones on your satyr are nicely done so far. The wood elves show that paint can make an average sculpt better.

I have to agree with the others, those wood elves really do look nice and great start on the Satyrs. Those skin tones are looking really nice already!

Why only work on one project? I am also trying out oils on a bigger bust, but currently having some problems with the fine details. I want her to look old and I cant get that to work with oils yet. I will try some other stuff. Will let you know if I find a good way to do it.
