You've answerd most questions my only ? Kretcher is what else or what could you use to block off the water from seeping out let's say I'm trying all that you've said above using a plinth but the edge of the plinth Ide like the crashed water what would I use to block off that end to stop the water from seeping out down the edge ? Other than that ,very informative !

The material I am using for the water effects is not liquid and therefore I am not using anything to keep it from going over the edge. It is a Paste from valljeo that I am using called water effects. They might have changed the name of that product lately thou...

If you are using a liquid water effect i would ask Skel or crackpot since I have seen that they have done some work with resin.

You can get the same thing from golden or liquitex. it's called heavy gloss gel. I used it to make a test wave WAYYYYYY back in my wip. If you are pouring two part clear resin you can just use simple painters tape to seal off the edge like i did for digga's giant squig.

Small update, have tried to work on the jacket to get some smoother transition and increase the highlights on it. I am having a hard time with it and suggestion would be appreciated. (For me it is problems to do transition in a very small area.) or should I be happy with it and move on?

Nice! I especially like the little flowers on the skirt. As for the jacket, I think the main part on the front looks great. There are a few spots on the arms and back that could use a little more blending/highlighting. You could try a controlled glaze of the midtone to help smooth things out and then rehighlight. I just wouldn't go overboard with the glaze as there are plenty of spots on the jacket that look just fine.

Dam if she isn't just creepy. I feel if she takes that mask off... I don't even want to think about it. ::shudders:: way to paint that story kretch.

Thanks Bailey and Digganob for comments. I will go back and do some work on the jacket and try some more glazing to it :)

Love the write up on the sea effect. I think that was very well done. I am geared up to do some of that myself pretty soon.

Made some more highlights and tried to make transition smoother on the front of the jacket....Sadly after the photo the pin released itself from the mini and it dropped to the floor... since it is a metallic figure I had paint chips appearing on edges on the figure. have to redo some things.

Not to worry about that now do you think this is better or worse? do I need to do something more with the jacket?

I think she looks fab. The mini and paint job really invoke the feeling of a painful history and that makes me want to know more about her. Bravo

Ok some small updates, I have now kind of said to myself that no more tweaking on Rose it is done (except one small area where some colour have been chipped away)and only base is left of you fellow don't see something that I must fix.

Also been working some more on the cape on the GW figure and will perhaps do small tweaks to it later then it is put together with the horse part if needed.

And having fun watching your great work as well, mate. Love the subtle colour variations here and there.

Thanks Meph, I have recently started to use more colour in the glazes to see if I can create more interest in the finished figure.
