Indeed Skel there are 15 more of them. My first comission job . They are turning out good and also they are better quality then I thought from the begining.

wow there is quite a lot of skin tone there, much more than I though in the beginning!
Not sure if you should add a little bit of variation into it (some a little more rossy, some a little more pale.. etc..)

Maenas, I agree with you and normally I would do that. But this is on a time schedule so I have cut down on some aspects to be sure it is finished in time.

Today I have taken some time to paint some metalics on Mole from Infamy, have started to put down the overall feel to the "backpack" and will come back with touch ups when more of the figure is finished.

I have for the first tried to use my airbrush a little bit more serious on some figures (bought the airbrush end of last year), I have told myself that i must start using it to understand and learn the techniques. This is my result painting some basic skin and orange clothes. There are probably many mistakes and I would gladly get some pointers on what I might have done wrong to be able to improve with the airbrush.

Another fast work for some Pan O figures from Infinity, the should be used to demoplay some games at a local gaming club. I have set myself a challenge to spend maximum of 2 hours per figure, hopefully i will make it to a good tabletop standard. Have spend around three and a half hour so far for priming and some painting.

Well I kind of agree with you Blood :) at least comparing with some of the local gamers and how they paint. I guess i more referring to the 2 hour limit per figure that I have set.
I have done some more painting and have now used up 7 hours of the 14 I have to finish this project. Shortcuts on the blue mostly done on the lower part since I want to make the top more visible.

I think the trick is to do all you blending with an airbrush. The Angel Giraldez book is a rpretty good guide to cranking out some decent minis fast: Spray gradients, black line, and edge 'light. I did the Pan O starter kit in my gallery in 12 hours, including assembly.

Hi all, I havent been working so much with painting last week. Will come back with how I did work on these. I have used an airbrush but not as much as Giraldez since I dont have the control yet :)

Thanks for all the post :)

Hi,

I'm a little late, but I think that AB looks ok for start.
What I see on the orange ones:
- you were spraying for a long time at places, that made uneven patches (leftmost figure). This usually means the paint was too thin. Can be remedied by using less water/medium or just quickly spraying then waiting until it's dry before hitting it with another light coat.
- second and third looks ok to me.
- on the 4th there is a large yellow spot, that's usually made when you hit the air over the figure, but there is undried paint on the tip of the needle. The tech would be: press AB for air beside the figure, go to the point where you want the paint, then pull back to spray. After it's done, release paintflow, then release airflow. It also helps if you clean the needle before hitting the figure with paint.

As a general rule of AB-ing the process should always be: press down for air, go over figure, pull back for paint, release trigger, so paint stops, release to stop air.
If you have that then it's only practice to control the airflow/paintflow the way you want.

for figures like these using masking can help a lot. Basically you AB the trousers, use masking tape/liquid on them once they are dry, then you could AB the skin. And at this point being done with 80% of the paintwork.

PanO:
- basically you just sprayed the base color and stopped. You could go a few steps further to have the basic lighting done too.

- the finished models (the female so far) look great btw, especially if you could stick to the original 2hr/figure plan.
