Bust looks great, but I’m really impressed by that work on the stormcast shield. Awesome stuff Kretch

Looks good buddy. How are you finding oils? I’ve always been tempted to try them out on a larger figure that’s quite fleshy (great unclean one for example)

Foxtail I really like the oils, but think they work better or atleast easier to start learning them on a bigger figure.

Hi all, thinking to go to a golden deeamon competition once in my ligfe, any suggestions to which one I should go to. If i understood it correctly it is one that is bigger then the other so I guess i want too go to that one. Any dates set yet?

No no progress on that one.... at the moment a bit too much at work so not had time lately for almost any seerious painting. I do paint some tabletop stuff for relaxation, easier when you dont have so much time to do thoose kind of things.

Wow for a "play mini" thats pretty high standard. The contrast on the purple looks fantastic and I also love the bases.

CyAniDe yes it is higher standard then my normal play minis since it will be a gift in a secret santa thing... but still not as much time that i would put on a competition figure, i guess that this is around 5 hours of painting per figure and 30 to 60 min for the base.
The base is made up from small stones and flower earth for the base, the leaves are bought birch autum leaves that i have just put on the ground. The "flowers" on the ground are seed capsels that i gathered up at the end of this summer, just removed them oone by one and painted them.

I also like the purple a lot, very happy how it turned out. I have used oil colours for the purple and the rest is acrylics.

Yeahhh, I start getting into oils as well. Hands down the vibrancy and richness of oils is unbeatable. I'm always a little bit sad when I use matte varnish to remove the gloss since it kills the vibrancy as well but the gloss would be too much for minis -.- ^^
