[Larre\'s WIP] imperial navy pilot turns to the dark side! HELP!!!

okay... it\'s a bummer... I haven\'t been able to get up that WIP spirit I had in my first WIP for a while... but I\'m going to try again! as I came home from GD I had a big pile of inspiration (being the largest painting COMP in the world and all)

so anyway... I got myself a imperial navy pilot, and a renegade militia spec weapon and icon bearer kit... so now I have started converting! moahahhaha!!! lol

anyway... here are some pics... not quite done with converting yet though :)

anyway, I\'m very intrested of what you think of it so far! yet to be done is the mouth mask and the shirt thingy!

anyway... contructive critique and feedback is what I\'m looking for in in this WIP thread!

Very nice, my imperial pilot was severy miscast and I didn\'t have a proper look and realise this untill I got home:cry:

Cool stuff Larre! I feel though that the pilot needs more \'chaosifiying\'...is that already planned? Maybe a chaos icon on a chain around his neck? More\'spikey\' i think, maybe some sort of shoulder pad?
I think I\'ll leave it up to you anyway ;P

oh btw - is finished yet? At the moment I think it looks a bit like a worm or something else...lol

Anyway, look forward to see how you progress on this one!

SO FAR :p Maybe it\'s just unclear to me what the green stuff blobs you\'ve added are...

What\'s the four blobs around where his respirator was?
And his arm swap doesn\'t look right beneath...

Can you get some better photos?

yeah! spikey is an idea! just as a shoulder pad! I thing I\'ll have a shoulderpad done actually! :D

about the \"four blobs\"... it\'s a mask that\'s supposed to look like a nose and a mouth and a chin... and cheekbones!

you can look at the slayersword winner in... spain I think, it was a blood pact mini anyway. I have redone the mask... it will look better when painted, and I have made a more chaosy look to his vest... I though I was done converting it, but I have now got a shoulderpad to sculpt! :D

anyway... I have some pics that I might upload later, but at the moment I\'m stealing computer time from my sis, so I haven\'t got the time to upload them atm... anyway... I think II will try to make this post as long as possible so that my sis gets extra annoyed! moahahahaha!!! *evil smirk*anyhoo...

updates will be up soon :)

Only thing that really popped out at me (negatively) was the torso that he\'s holding. It\'s a great idea, but composition-wise, the way that the torso appears to be touching the \"rock\" makes it look like the Pilot is a little bit weak-armed. Just isn\'t the kind of image you want to be conveying.

haha! lol that\'s intresting! \'cos I thought exactly the same about the matter, but then, but the I thought about tha fact that he alreday has this big ironi thing on his under arm, and the fact that he would be able to lift him up over the ground by himelf is quite small. I started thinking of how much it would wheigh for me to lift up my bro\'s torso for example (nothing bad against my bro!) and I realized that I think it looks more truthfull, and plus I think that the rock has made a big plus for the base :)

anyway... I\'m glad you like the most parts of it... I think I\'ll have an update up this afternoon :D

okay... I have an update.. not much painting... I remembered that I should take a pic of the mini before I were goiing to spray it after I\'ve sprayed it... so you will get a \"sprayed\" pic.. this makes it harder to see the details... but I have basicly ragged the vest a bit, and sone spikes on the shoulder pads (or what I should call them) and I have fixed his mask :)

Any1 got a pic of that just finished the \"Guns of Tanith\" and am thinking of doing a duel type piece.

I\'m liking what I see so far Larre, looking forward to seeing how you go about slaping some paint on him!!!

well, I\'m back with an update m8\'s! :D

I have done the chopped off demonhost last night! I think I spent about 5 h on it or so :p
