now I have another small update.
I have a feeling that I will never be pleased with that sword
and as you can see it is a bit messy like... everywhere. so I will clean it up a bit untill the next update.
and the reason that I removed him from the base is because I have started on the displaybase that he will be placed on...
and who know, I might add a little surprize

Wow! What an improvement! :beer: The sword is looking much better. The purple and the freehand on his shirt is fantastic, although the gems might get lost in such a sea of purple. The only things I can see that could do with improvement really are the NMM freehand on the front, the sword, and the flame on his staff. Perhaps you could give the sword some more washes with blue or purple and then re-highlight it?

I ived in Norway for 11/12 years swedish is not that dis-similar.

That is FANTASTIC, Larre!
The way you incorporated the gem freehand into the gold trim on the back of the cloak is amazing- simply perfect :drool:
Everything else works together so well - the only bits I\'m not sure about are the sword and the rock on the base. I think for the base you should smooth out the drybrushing on the rock a little bit, but the snow looks great Also, I think you left a little spot of blue on the pouch on the right on the front view.
other than those minor points a really good mini. The base really suits him, and the mini is really clean and smooth, just as High Elves should be

now I have painted on my new mini for a while... and I feel like I could use some help on this one...
here it is
I have been working quite alot with wet-blending on this mini. I think I spent 2-3 hours blending and layering the spear... exhausting work I tell ya
I hope you like it so far.

He looks great so far, I really like the armor plating on the legs. I think the skin on the forehead could benefit from another highlight.
now I have painted some more.. I think that this is a great pic.
I\'m aware of the big white dot on the gem stone on his chest.
I did as you guys said and painted some futher highlights on the forehead. does it need more highlights??
