Exceptional work, that's going to be a great looking space marine. My favorite bit is the energy effect on the power sword, it really turned out well.

Good luck to you in the contest. My LGS used to run a mini painting contest every year, and it was always great motivation to try something new and get something finished.

khavor, it's not really an LGS, but a country-wide tabletop event, containing a painting contest, too. It's not on the level of a international model contest, but nevertheless, it is something more than a local event.

I did not post for a while, I know, because instead of painting I built a painting corner. It is ~90% ready, I have still issues with some of the drawers (need to cut ~3mm from them), missing small shelves, paint rack, but I could put everything away:

Furthermore I built a small (25x35x40 cm) photo booth. It contains 7x ~30 cm long, 4000K 24W/m LED stripes:

Toad, my wife is espacially happy, as I can keep order in my corner, finally!

There are some more backlog photos of Lazarus' cloak, planned red, adding some freehend. Was thinking about OSL+freehend, but I do not feel that I can do it now.

So I picked a DA logo, and tried to find the center of the cloak with masking tape, which happened to be at the sculpted edge, and matched the logo on it in GIMP:

I struggled with this logo a LOT. And even more. I tried to keep the logo symmetrical, first trying to mirror and shift to check whether the logo is even:

But something was off, so added some structure to define where the parts really are, so I could continue from there (and started experimenting on the cloth texture):

I found this a good moment to add some texture to the cloak, really many many many parallel lines:
