I don't beleive it. After doing anything else, but painting for 2 weeks I made some progress yesterday and the day before that. Mostly finishing the clothes and metals.
Aaaand finally started with the hair by applying the second and third basecoats to have an uniform color from where I can start.

Also started prepping a relaxing, fast diorama (and another from scale75) and of course this weekend I should play with the AB and start with the october anime challenge from Webmonkey.

There comes the yearly hungarian gamesday event in december, sadly I was too 'lazy' this year to enter in all the categories I wanted to. From the 5 or 6 where I'm allowed I'll most likely miss 3 (vehicles and monsters (Gundam tank never finished), army (Vile-Tis army half-done), squad (nothing, not even a plan for one)). Lazy is in quotes because I painted, but mostly busts/anime figures/large figures so the year was not a complete waste of painting time .

sooo I think the bust is mostly finished. Unless you people say it needs tweaking here and there (maybe I'd need a not-so-wip pic first, but who knows).

Also the very rough plans for the 2 dioramas that I plan to do after the anime kit is finished.

The left should be the small girl. with the tree + rain + muddy ground.
The right is some steampunk wild-west waiting for the coach (so ground is a simple wooden platform + sandy/dry ground with some dried vegetation (and scale75's daisy reed as a figure)

Yep Wave2 (Box + survivor rewards) are here, just a few days before my birthday
Where Wave 1 is ? No idea, somewhere in limbo. 'hopefully' just customs is being slow again.

Nice! Yeah, wave 1 and wave 2 are being handled by different distribution centers (at least in the US, but I think everywhere else too), so you can get them in reverse order. I got my wave 2 over a week ago and my wave 1 will hopefully arrive today.

Great job on the bust, by the way. She looks really nice!

Bailey03 (and if someone else with a KD-Box too): am I right in that the 2 surprise minis on the antelope sprue are the 5th and 6th starting survivors? Their 'clothes' look that way, but the sprue is labelled as 'intimacy'. I just don't see how they are put together (2 separate starter figures or one pair) without clipping them from the sprue, what I don't want to do right now.

for the anime contest primed my entry grey:

and while I have the AB on my desk I added some colors:

I thought all I have left is the belt + shirt, but... The medium fleshtone used on the darkest shadows look weird. I looks ok-ish on a pic without a flash, but... I don't know what would be better. tweaking the color or repaint the whole piece.

Aaand some disaster with the shirt. I didn't take care and sprayed too much, so it pooled, tried to wipe it off, but all I managed is to partly remove the primer too. So I have a wrinkled back atm... no idea, resand, reprime, repaint... all for tomorrow.

If you're going to be redoing the shirt then it might be worth your while to repaint the skin as well. Those areas of yellow/brown are quite distracting. Then again, I'm sure that someone with your painting skills could fix it up with a brush - it just won't have that same airbrush finish.

Nice MAXXxxx - the shading on her skin looks great in these pics.

Two things I noticed:
1) In the picture on the left on her left hip - some of the brown from the belt has smudged onto her shirt. I think it's noticeable because it's such a clean white there.
2) It looks like there are two air bubbles that have left a mark on her hair near the middle.

The only area that I would say needs more work based on these pictures is the shading in her hair. It may be the picture tones, but it's too subtle for this kind of figure.

fixed the first 2, but I won't touch the hair. IRL the difference is big enough.
