Another source on google news: http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=10597267

EDIT: And BBC has a live feed: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8119951.stm

The fella was definitely talented.

Peace and love...

Not confirmed by any of the major networks..TMZ is a tabloid..don\'t really need to confirm a thing.

not the first person they would report as dead that\'s not..

Watch and wait..

He is dead... :( ...

I knew he was NOT going to make these Comeback Shows for Sure, but... it is sad... I kinda liked him...

This way the insurance company who paid for the tickets will have some serious problems, I think... Maybe he escaped to \"the island\"... I hope that he is not really dead... 50 is not old...

I was just listening to the album \"Bad\" the other day... such good music and he was such a good dancer... kind of a shock he\'s actually dead...

I\'ve been watching live news broadcast on the BBC site for over an hour seeing this sad news unfold.

I loved his music and its a great loss. I hope he finds the peace that he never seemed to find here in this life, in the next. :(

I have to admit, I\'m more upset about Farah Fawcett, who also passed this morning.

MJ was..... self destructive. Farrah was just plain sad. :(

I won\'t speak ill of the dead, so it\'s between him and the Lord now... rest in Peace.

You have to wonder if he killed himself... I heard that he passed a four hour, full-body physical with \"flying colours\" in March. Just a bit odd.

Nonetheless, RIP, King of Pop!

Honestly people, this is the 3rd forum ive been on tonight with this as the \'major news story\' and all im seeing is people being sad for \'poor little michael\'

Forgive me, but in my opinion we should be celebrating, the worlds highest profile paedophile has died!

Clearly, you missed my post in there.
Bear in mind, one can lament the loss of the man\'s talent (even I don\'t deny he had that), and still not like other things he did or supposedly did (which I don\'t).

But, then, James Brown, the King of Soul, was a rather violent dink, if memory serves.
Ike Turner, while not a major musical power, was also such a person.
Bobby Brown. (\'nuff said)
I\'m sure if we looked into it, we could find a lot of things wrong with a lot of great musical talents.

But that doesn\'t change the last bit:
Great musical talents.

Undeniably Jacko gave a generation (or two) some great music and memories of his time when he was best known for his performances and not for his offstage craziness can give people enough reason to feel a loss at his death.

Me.... too young to appreciate thriller and hated his \"Bad\" era of music.

Elvis was a drug fiend who died on the crapper and how many millions venture to Graceland every year. It\'s easy and pretty acceptable to remember someone for the good things they left you, and erase over the ugly parts of their life.

He wasn\'t for me, I won\'t miss him, but no denying he made an impact on near every person on the planet.

may sound weird, but he was one of my role models

i dance and sing ect so him before he got all weird was amazing.

anyways i will miss him no matter what he became because like all artists, he left something behind, in his case it is something that will always be remembered.

at the end of the day it doesn\'t matter now who he became but what he left. :)
