Thanks Sippog! Great site you have there, by the way. On the flipside, he seems hard to get a hold of and not too cheap, those deservedly so. I hate being poor. :(

What I would like to see is a sexy weretigress in the same scale as the Confrontation wolfen (in full Crinos) because that is one of my white wolf RPG characters and there isn\'t a decent model anywhere of her!

Also WOTC did a really cool black dragon based on the artwork in the new AD & D monster mannual. I\'d like to see more dragons based on that artwork.

More skulls for use in dioramas and feathers to use as jewelery inlarger scal models wouls also be good.

I was just thinking last night that Confrontation should release a line of cat warriors to compliment the Wolfen. Maybe it could be either an entirely new race or a lesser tribe, like the barbarians have access to the minotaurs.

Have you checked 100 Kingdoms? They have a few lionesses that you could tinker with, and apparently Crocodile Games is releasing some female cat warriors. Haley had one up on ebay last week (might be in the archives here) from that line.

oooh, now here\'s goin\' way back. How about some figs for the really old horror movies, well strange movies anyway. I\'m thinkin\' especially of thhe Cabinet of Dr. Calligari, or Der Golem, Nosferotu. That wouldd be fun to think of what colors they ought to be.
Thats what I was thinking, also maybe the robot from metropolis? now theres a challenge!:p

The whole band of them in fairly accurate renditions from the film. I suppose you could create these out of some existing line of tutonic knights, but I\'d like to see unhelmeted versions that look like Idol, Gillium etc. Oh, and a giant trojan rabbit!
Oh, yeah a great idea! Maybe also the characters from caddyshack, Jake and Elwood Blues, the Hanson brothers (slapshot) The Oompa Loompas from Willie Wonka, and...and ...and...
Were sorry, Spankys brain has overloaded and shut down. Please check back again later.

what do I want to see?

More Common Folks, prisoners
I like the fat hero Idea...also other \"imperfect\" heroes...hook hands, ugly heroes, peg legs....sure I could do conversions....but why do so many figs look like romance novels?

Normal animals!!!!! RP did an animals of north america and animals of africa boxed set and I\'d love to get another cop of them....think about it....no matter what game you RP you need something like wolves or bears at lower levels...not to mention familiars and animal companions.

how about modular monsters? GW plastics are fun to convert....what if you could combine the make your own griffin with the make you own chimera kit....so many fantasy monsters are mix & match anyway. I know I can do it with glue and putty, but it would be so much easier AND it would be good practice for converting other stuff.

also more human/animal hybrids....100 kingdoms stuff is good and they have apes!! Damn Dirty Apes!!!

Ooh! ooh and steampunk stuff....I like that stuff Especially the robots from \"girl Genius\" by Phil Foglio

I\'d also like to see weapon sprues in line with realistic Reaper-esque scale. It\'s a pain to have to potentially ruin one mini just to do a weapon swap for another, and GW weapons just don\'t look right on a realistically scaled mini.

Reaper actually has several blisters of loose weapons in their catalog. These have recently been made available, three to a sprue, through the boneyard section of their corporate site.

Thanks impronouncable, I didn\'t see them in the regular portion of the site. Shows me for not being thorough.:p :retracts wish for weapons:

What about someone doing new versions of Michael Moorcock\'s Eternal Champion? I love the old Citadel models but there\'s a wealth of subject matter available from Mr M.

Where to begin?

Hay guys while we are this long and fun topic....does anyone know where to begin with getting permission to actually do these concepts up?

I mean what if like for old writers that are dead now,lol...uhh...who would you ask?

I mean it seems to me that it would be a long hunt to get in contact with the owners of the copyright...

I guess the us copy right office?

but would take a million years prolly....

Just wondering....???

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?

Scooby Doo! For the love of pete, how could I forget Scooby Doo?

They could have Scooby and Shaggy, Daphne and Velma. They could have Scrappy and Scooby Dum and Don Knotts in all of his wonderful characters. I\'d even buy the Fred model. They could do a whole line of Scooby stuff. They could have the Adams Family and the Globe Trotters and any of the other guests that appeared on the show. They could do the villains like the Ghost of Zen Tuo or the Chinese Zombies, Dracula, Frankenstein, the Robot, the Wolfman, the Creeper or the Phantoms. They could even have the gang in their many different elements, like snow clothes or scuba gear. They could have Shaggy with his hair standing up and his limbs stiff from fright. They could have the gang creeping along with Fred holding a flashlight or just hanging around. Naturally several different poses of Shaggy and Scoob eating gigantic sub sandwhiches.

Vincegamer: Python would be awesome, but don\'t forget about the 3 headed giant, the Wizard Tim and the bride keeper.

Sturmhalo: I\'ve been practicing my scuplting for a couple of weeks. Right now I suck, so until I get better I have to rely on my dreams to sustain me.

Big Mean Elf: You are right that the Library of Congress would probably know who has the copyright, but it would probably be quicker to go to the company who produced the book/cartoon/movie/TV show to get licensing. They probably own the copyright, and if they don\'t they can tell you who does, because they probably had to pay that person for the rights too.

But just because a person\'s dead doesn\'t mean he/she doesn\'t still own the copyrights. Elvis Presley was the 19th largest grossing musician in 2002. That\'s 25 years after he died.

BSG figs and Figs I want to see

Originally posted by Big Mean Elf
Then in contrast you would have all types of black and silver Cylon robos in neat poses...with Boltar and a few of the other bad guys from yhe show....:)

Eureka figs from Austrailia make the Cylon Raiders figs already. The also have Stargate SG-1 Jaffa with Anubis Helms, Horus Helms, and bareheaded with staff weapons, and the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz.

What I want to see is 25-28 mm civilians (Foundry is working on some), More 25-28 mm vehicles, civilan and military.

And if I could have any GW figs, I want Earth Caste and Water Caste Tau. Some new Tau stuff would be cool, too. (and not the forgeworld stuff, cause it is WAY overpriced. Resin figs are CHEAPER to make than metal, and yet they cost 5 times as much from Forgeworld)

Also, more realistic animals, and those 3 step figs that Ral Partha used to put out. The ones with 3 of the same character at different power levels.

Figs for Farscape would rock too.

Oh and I forgot...

And how about modern / sci fi / cyberpunk figs with weapons that arent ridiculously out of scale? (Games Workshop, Im looking in your direction) Some of the Void figs are good, but some just get stupid on the weapon size.

Add to that sprues of normal size weapons and every day stuff. Briefcases, Laptop computers, flashlights, cell phones, skateboards, bags of grocerys, etc.

Yeah that would be great- all the hundred kingdoms cat people look too small for what I need, and to be honest they all look too static for my taste.

heh! Believe it or not - there IS a Don Knotts figure! It\'s got him in his Barney Fife deputy hat but in full plate mail. instead og his regular uniform . . .

the idea was that he\'s a \"cowardly knight\"

And shore \'nuff - I found a thing called Three Stage Miniatures - and it has a mini representing the came character at 3 stages of his career!

(if you need the link - let me know . . . ) Gotta run!

Copyright

The copyright office has a web site that is pretty easy to use to find copyright holders, at least for more recent stuff.
For example, the copyright for Scooby Doo is held by Hanna Barbera.
As a general rule, copyright runs for 70 years after the author\'s death. For a work made for hire, which covers much of film and television, the term is 95 years after creation.
Conan for example is still under copyright protection until 2006.
I wonder if there will be a rash of Conan stuff coming out in a couple of years. Of course, much of the Conan stuff was written by other people and at later date, so many details might still be protected, but Howard\'s original work won\'t be.

 I think we need some more Warhammer 40k Eldar models, like a Warp Spider Phoenix Lord or some assassin models.
