bill, you are the absolute last person who should feel inadequate!! You are going so well, and you are still so young! If you keep painting, you are going to become such a great painter - you\'ll be able to become as good as you want to be, it all depends how much time and effort you put into it.
This is part of the way I think when this topic comes up: we are all on the same journey with painting; it just depends how far you have progressed on that journey. Some people reach a point where they are happy with their level - others aren\'t happy, and keep working to move further. It takes a lot of effort to progress - I personally have done so so much painting over the last few years, to try to get better! I still have a strong urge to improve though. It\'s all about practice, and effort - I think that almost anyone can achieve a very high level with painting, if they put in enough time and effort. That\'s something that gets lost sometimes, I think - people see some of the great painters on this site, and feel like they can never reach that level. But what is hidden is the huge amount of work and effort that has been put into painting by those great painters - instead, it somehow appears on the surface as if they jsut have a magical talent for painting, or are instantly good at it or something. I suppose that natural talent plays a role, but I think that practice and hard work are the real things that make someone become good at painting!
Sorry everyone, it\'s a bit off topic - it\'s just a thought though, don\'t worry
