Lookin good so far Moe. I had a look at starting prices for an airbrush at my local hardware store, I think it'll be a while before I grab one

@RayzrYR- Just get a cheapy online to see if you even like it. Just not the GW pos thing. Einion has posted several times on affordable airbrushes. He is probably the smartest guy on here too so i listen well to his advice.

@WGS- Thanks, i appreciate that.

@DannyVasquez- Thank you. I am looking forward to more of your works as well.

@kathrynloch- Lol. I Won't do that on this one. Got a few robots, and of course all the Royo kits(still your fault) too, i might say that on though :)

Love the loafers! lol!

Alrighty then - since I got my Elf Assassin going in my thread...and a Royo waitin in line....I propose a challenge to you, sir. I'll match whatever Royo you choose with mine, Medusa's Gaze.

(I apologize in advance for the bad pun.) We'll have a Royo paint-off. (Ducks)

When we've finished with the ones we've got going of course. lol!

I want to get another one...but darn it, I really, really need a new camera. lol!

So what do ya say? It would be fun and just the motivation I need right now.

You, Kathryn, are awesome.

OK i'm very game for this. It will keep my mind occupied on more positive things. I've got "Black Tinkerbell" already started, "Medusa's gaze"(probably going to use actual doll hair on her not sure) and "a touch of ice"(i have been hoping Milosh starts his soon). These were actually the very first garage kits i ever purchased. After i opened the boxes i quickly realized they were a bit beyond my level of modeling stuff that size and painting stuff that size. So i bought a few(more like 25) of the simpler kits and started reading and watching vids.

That said. I think i am comfortable enough to give one of them a go now as i think i have improved a bit. Are you wanting to be close to the original artwork or are we going to do them however we want? When exactly are you wanting to start. Also i don't post much on the weekends as i work 12.5 hours friday-sunday. During the week though I'm good to go. As for which one i do? You pick :)

Cool Moe! I'm always one for anything goes. I hate limiting creativity - if an artist does commissions sometimes they get shoved into a very small box and it can get cramped after a while. So painting for fun needs to be painting for fun. I will vote for Black Tinkerbell but paint it however you want - exactly the same or a blue skinned alien, whatever you want. hehe!

I was thinking of waiting until I finish the elf assassin (as long as I don't stall out on her or get overwhelmed with my schedule). I may work at home but between the books, creating book trailers and promoting stuff, painting, and now I have to get that workshop prepped...what day are we on again? lol!

So is starting after I finish the Elf Assassin okay with you?

Update time. Started building up the highlights now.

Went back to the skin while those parts dried a bit.

I'm about done with her skin as far as the airbrush goes. I'll hit her legs and chest with another highlight, but her face will be finished with a brush. I'm going to take Milosh's advice and go with a smooth satin finish to her skin.

I then went back to the reds and highlighted up some more.

Looks good, although it is hard to see the highlights on the flesh. Maybe it is just my computers crappy screen.

Looks nice, Moe! But I gotta agree with Mar in that I'm having a hard time seeing the highlights. But I've got a crappy screen too.

Weird. It could have been the lighting i shot the pics in. I have been using the good camera, so i dunno. On the E website, Seraph says the flesh looks awesome but cant see the reds very well. I'll try to get motivated to finish her today.

Its looking pretty sweet moe, the blending is looking really smooth and I like the red in the clothing. I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished!
