@Alexandra Thank you very much! Stop by anytime. I have been enjoying your work on the D and D mini's.

@KB Yeah weren't we supposed to have a paint log/wip something with those. I think you and i both have been busy :) Hell, i just rearranged my paint room to make room for all the reaper stuff coming. Curse you kickstarters!

@RayzrYR Anytime my friend. I can honestly say i have not had too many issues with their stuff. There is a DraGon 3 also but they are out of stock at the moment.

Lol. Every time I walk in the back room I see Strain and Vanguard begging to be painted. I have managed an hour of painting this month ... If priming bases and shields count. I started painting a shield for my Twisted Sister and as soon as the coal black was on the brush, junior started crying on my left arm...I think it was, "waaa, what are you doing, waaa, you are not paying sole atteniontion to me, waaa, can I eat that pain, waaa". Actually rather entertaining.

I have managed to modify some tools, which I think will allow me to clean and prep mini's while holding junior.

Maybe if I hold the brush in my teeth..hmmmmm ;)

Been working on a Garage kit for a contest. Thanks for those of you whom gave me suggestions while i was working on her. I'll post final pics as soon as it is "legal" for me to do so.

Been working on the dragon. But since it has been raining, like, every day and the humidity was through the roof i haven't been able to get anything primed til today. In the days that it was raining i filled in and reshaped the gap areas:

I didn't like the way the head joined. It made the neck fins look like they just stopped for no reason. So i resculpted it a tad and extended the fin onto his head.

I got him all primed. Yay!

I normally let the primer set for at least 12 hours. But, most of the time, i let it set for 24 hours. I have found that i can let it set for 4-6 hours and put on a base coat and let that set for 24 hours and not have too many issues with the models later.

So while i let that set i started working on Ryoufu Housen from the anime series Ikki Tousen. I have watched a few episodes and caught this on sale so i thought i would clean the kit up and get it ready to be primed later. I will be using the color scheme from the anime NOT the pic. In truthfulness I'm not fond of the color scheme of either but it will be quick and good practice for the more complicated kits i have.

More later

@Milosh I will, and thanks for your advice :)

@kathrynloch Hi Kath! Very glad to see you here again :) :) :) All these garage kits are 100% your fault btw :p

Speaking of....

For the life of me i can only find one wip pic of what i was working on. So here is the one wip pic i found. Cat Girl:

the finished pics are at e's annual contest http://www.e2046.com/contest/2013/

I entered for fun and there are a lot of cool stuff there, not just anime.

Thought i'd mention this too. I was not there and these are not my pics. I just came across them and thought like minded miniature people might enjoy them. There is more then just historical stuff too.

Hehe! Hey, I think it was Andy who got me started on that site. I still have two figures here that I haven't done anything with yet. I don't dare buy another. Too damn expensive! But I love 'em. Especially the ones modelled after Rojo's work.

I'm a registered member there and read they had public polling on the contest until June but the option was grayed out. So I either didn't qualify or they closed the polling. But I wanted to vote for you!!!

Your little cat girl is cute! Reminds me one of the characters in the anime The Vision of Escaflowne (one of my favorite shows - hehe!)

Anyway, good luck to ya in the contest! And great job on the larger scales!

I don't think voting starts till next week. Don't vote for me, although i do appreciate that, vote for the best :p I entered for the credit points :) There are some really awesome ideas/paint jobs going on. There are a few more out this year based on Royo's work, but i have found the previous kits require some skill that i did not have when i first got them.

Good luck Moe. You have some good competition, some of the Royo figs are impressive. Ther are so many different styles it would be hard to pick a clear winner.

Now back to the page of historical mini's for drool time ;)

I am only to about photo 200 of a 1000 on the historical mini's. The site keeps locking up on my iPad...or it could be due to the drool ;)

OK so i have gotten bad news on bad news and have not gotten anything done in a bit. Today that changes!

Primed and ready for paint!

These will be the paints i use for this.....I think...

And so it begins:

I tried watching this show but it just seemed soooo slow. The characters seemed interesting, and curvy. The story seemed ok too but i couldn't get into it. I'll try another time.

More soon.
