Thanks guys! much appreciated!

@Tee999 This thing is awesome. I wish i purchased one years ago. I just wish i purchased more filters. The big red push down button, make sure you got a hold of the power cord when you hit that :)

@KruleBear On these i didn't mask anything, i just touched up with a paintbrush afterwards. Most everything i will do from this point on will be with a brush. In the past i have used masking/painters tap and W&N colourless art masking fluid. It can be kind of tricky to use at first.

Good gravy man, you work on a lot at the same time and at a high quality. Verlinden is some old school stuff indeed, they made some good products. The really funny thing is when I started painting figures almost five years ago I told one of the old schoolers how much I hated busts. Now I can't seem to get away from them. There are just so many good ones out there. If you find that you like them look at young miniatures, they are the best on the market. Keep rockin the paints sir, each installment is better than the last, especially when the instalment has the girlz in it.

@Milosh Thanks! So far i am enjoying the bust work, I find them very relaxing.

@Tee999 Can't wait to see the goods!

@Krulebear Gauth is an awesome sculpt. I have the original Kaladrax but gravity was not so kind to him over the years. I can't wait for the reaper dragons to start arriving :)

Update:

Clare from Claymore is finished, enjoy!

I like that girl and you did some nice work on the eyes. She looks like she could do with more contrast. I know these statue figures have to be dealt with differently, so excuse me if I am speaking on something I know little about.

@10 Ball- Thanks man!

@Milosh- Yeah i know what you mean, but that's how she looks in the anime show and its a gift for a friend who is a big fan of it. So i needed her to look as close as possible to the original. If it wasn't for that i would have painted her a lot different. The base was all me though, and I'm very happy how that came out.

@Krulebear- Thanks. I'm really looking forward to Kaladrax part 2 when it arrives.

Small update, I'll post more later as i have been working on a bunch at once again but right now I'm trying to stay focused on this twilight knight for the wamp KD contest. I'm not going to fool myself into thinking I'll win, but i still want to do a descent job since she is going in the curio. Anyhoo crap phone picks away!

I wanted her to be a bit different then everyone elses. Seems like i always see her painted in red with a really fair skin tone. So i went green with a darker skin tone:

The only thing i Don't like about this mini kit was not having an optional non-cloaked head. <--Read this MR. Poots! The kit is pretty cool though.

What do yall think?

can you cut the cloak off and just use it as a hooded head? I wouldn't want to cover her back either, it looks like a well sculpted back. Another thing is to cut the cloak and grind the hood away and just re-sculpt some hair in it's place. This would make for a nice figure indeed.

@TrystanGST- I LOVE the 54mm versions of her and the preacher. I really hope Adam does more in the future.

@RayzrYR- Thanks! the green is the same as my Dark Angels. How are yours coming along?

@Sionid- Thanks I hope to have her done either tonight or sometime tomorrow.

@Milosh-I am so with you on this. Unfortunately i don't have the time and i'm not sure i have the skills for that yet. 80% of her head is "cloak/hood" . I have a second one to try that on. I thought about just leaving the cloak off but she just looks silly like that, and I've only seen one guy pull that off and make it look good.

I'm pretty sure i have ADHD or something cause i can never work on just one thing....

I liked the darker skin tones so i did up some other stuff i have in the works. I got some of these SoB slaves at gamesday 2004 to use for something. That something is now going to be for the base of one of my daemon princes:

For some reason, ever since i first seen Taylor from Malifaux, i picture her as being a blacksmith when she isn't bashing in the heads in of some constructs. That said i wanted her to be darker too, from working outside on the forge:

I like painting red for some reason, dunno why. But i wanted a vindicare that wasn't black. So i did this:

Ok back to the twilight knight i swear!

More later

Yeah - with the Twilight Knight the head is sculpted to the hood - so it'd take some creativity to make it work without the cloak, or sculpting a whole new head. I had it easier with the Forsaker - I could leave her cloaklet off without breaking up the feel of the mini.

Since we were talking about the head :

Would probably be easier to just sculpt a new head. But that is beyond me at this moment in time.

C and C always welcome

Looking good and you're right about the head. I didn't remember the hood being so connected to the face. What about the extra head from the white speaker? I'm not sure if they would match up in scale as I think I recall the white speaker 54mm being a very small 54mm.

I'm missing 6 mini's from the whole KD line and the 54mm white speaker is one of them.....sniffle...

It's ok, i have tons of other ladies to paint :)

I am probably redoing the sword and the base is not finished. But i like how she is looking.
