More GW Price Hikes!

Wonder how much damage this will do to them...

As of the 27th February we will be changing the prices on a selection of our products. To give you as much notice as possible so you can get your miniatures at the current price, we\'ve listed the major changes below:

THE PRICE CHANGES
Warhammer 40,000 plastic tank boxed sets change from £20 to £25
Warhammer 40,000 plastic APC boxed sets change from £18 to £20
Paint pots change form £1.75 to £2
Warhammer 40,000 plastic bikes change from £5 to £6
Collector’s Guides from £5 to £6

I\'m happy I have everything I need for my two armies already. Not that we ever play anymore... but that might change this year.

25% price hikes! lol Supermarkets over here have been working on deflation of prices - down by around 5% on 2004. How TF do they think they can carry on doing it?

Really at this point I could care less. I don\'t buy their shitty miniatures, and if I do want one I will look for it on ebay.

Not quite as bad as the news I had today. My monthy bus ticket has just gone up again from £36 to £43. Only last August it was £30 and the year before that £25. Plus the service is getting worse and worse. I\'m beginning to think it might be worth running a car instead!!

At least with GW I can choose not to buy their minis and paint. I rely on buses to get to work.

Fortunately for GW they at least forcast this Lord of the Rings bubble bursting to a certain degree. I\'ve been involved with GW products for ~14 years and it\'s kind of sad to see them struggle, but jacking up prices to nearly unobtainable amounts is not a good way to keep my sympathy. They\'ve brought a lot of good stuff to the hobby but they\'ve definitely become more \"corporate\" over the years. Have they started chosing the bottom line over the loyal hobbyists?
