SM - I asked you in my earlier post if maybe you could give examples of classical art that over-exaggerated features for the sake of presentation. I believe a lot of the Grecco-Roman stuff was like that, but didn\'t Michaelangelo or Da Vinci also do it on occassion? My art history sucks, but I think if you could point us to some great works of art that veer from realistic proportions and/or color schemes that would help support the argument against more \'naturalistic\' painting.
I know another recent example are the hands on GW minis (the Mordheim dwarves come to mind). They are way out of proportion and they look great! I\'ve seen realistic hands on minis (DarkSword comes to mind) and they are too tiny to see any detail.
