Slightly adapted from my Star Wars Cookbook, these are a favorite with my friends:

\"Wookiee Cookies\"

2¼ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (i.e. soft!)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1½ tsp. vanilla extract
¾ cup milk chocolate chips
¾ cup dark semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375\'F.

Mix the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. Sifting might help, but I never bother.

Mix the butter and sugars in another bowl until well-blended. This will take a couple of minutes with an electric mixer. If it’s not mixing well zap it for 15 seconds or so in a microwave on “defrost” (about 30% power) to soften the butter more. Mix in the vanilla and eggs.

Add the wet to the dry, mix well with a spoon and add the chocolate chips.

Scoop about a tablespoon each onto a cookie sheet (about 1.5 inch wide balls), bake for 10-12 minutes. Don’t overbake or they’ll get REALLY hard, like rocks :O

If you want to make sure they don\'t get hard reduce the amount of white sugar and increase the amount of brown sugar by that amount. The brown sugar keeps them softer.

I used to bake cookies and sell them......I needed money.......lots of late hours and hard work.

evil tendencies

Cake or Death?
Easy Fruit Cobbler

1 stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup self-rising flour
12 oz can of your favorite chopped fruit in juiice or syrup (I like Boysenberries the best)

In a 9x9 pan, melt the butter, and then mix it with the sugar until creamy. Add in the milk and flour, and mix until most (but not all) the lumps are gone. Pour the fruit in the middle of the mixture, and try to get some of it to spread out to the edges.

Cook for an hour at 350 degrees, the let cool for 15 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

If you love soups, you might want ot try Korean food. There are Soy bean stew, Kimchi stews, and seafood souops. They are pretty good. But might be spicy.

I love soups. They are pretty healthy too (as long as you don\'t overdo the salt!) :D I like combining different ingredients and seeing what I come up with.

Here\'s the recipe I really like:
A pound or two of beef roast (chicken works great too). I like to cook it first, because I have a bad habit of tasting the soup before it\'s done, so I don\'t want to eat raw meat! I just cook it quickly in a pan with a little oil, pepper, and soy sauce and cover it so that the steam stays inside and keeps it moist, then I dice it up into large cubes.

Place the beef in a crock pot.

Add chopped potatoes, celery, carrots, mushrooms (I love canned mushrooms, so I use two of the small cans), half an onion (I don\'t like onions much, so only half for me) and two cans of beef broth.

Then I add plenty of chopped garlic, black pepper, some salt, soy sauce, basil and parsley. Then I add some water to top off the pot.

Cook on high for 3 or 4 hours, or cook on low for maybe 6 hours. When the potatoes are done then you know the soup is ready.

Gosh, all this talk about soup makes me want it again. I\'ll have to make a big pot of it on Monday :) Best thing is, you can make the whole pot of soup for about $10-$15, and that will last me a week :D
