@Supervike...........yes just do some experimenting to see how far you can go until the paint breaks up.
One of the problems is everyone using different gear so you will just have to work on that yourselves.I have no experiance with Future but know a lot use it.I dont use a retarder cos these glazes and washes are that thin theres loads of pot life with them.

I recommend the W+N flow enhancer.I add water to my paint and then when I put the enhancer in I can actually see the paint \"unbinding\".Great stuff. It also seems to extend the pot life too.

@Jerome and everyone else..............dont worry Im thinking of seeing how things are going then posting the final steps on Friday/Saturday.

Below are my efforts. Klute, I started by using your mix to the letter, but got a chalky yucky streaky coat, so I tweaked it alittle till it worked better with the paints I had. It\'s still rougher than I like, but I suspect part of that is because I just glazed over the first yucky layer and tried to smooth that out vs stripping it. Any suggestions on her, beyond improving my photo skills that is?

@Valloa.......looking great. From there I would take the highlights up a little further just on the really high spots.Knees, knuckles etc.
Then start washing a very thin tanned flesh(dont forget the flow enhancer)
This will bring out the shading more.Put extra around areas like the hands to pick out the deep sharp recesses like between fingers. This will also give a subtle dark lining in areas.Be carefull around the face so you dont get any in her eyes.
Learn to control the washes and not just slap them on.
If you feel confident enough, and you are certainly skilled enough, use a darker wash (bestial brown)around the hands, hairline etc to pick out the really deep stuff.

See I like to have a good seperation between areas like skin and hair but like to keep it subtle with browns etc and not black.
Not as striking but looks more realistic IMHO.

Inyourendo?

I think Xavier is referring to the fact that one of the figures appears to have something the size of a telegraph pole inserted into it\'s fundament.;)

Thank you,
Xavier

Here is the next step(s), wise one.

The first was a layer was a mixture of 1:1 VMC Beige Brown to VMC Flesh.

RowenaWIP1.jpg

Good so far...then I added Flat Flesh as the next layer, followed by Flat Flesh 1:1 to Light Flesh, and finally Light flesh.

RowenaWIP2.jpg

AHHH! That is horrible! What have I done? Please let the wash work, please let the wash work, please let the wash work...

RowenaWIP3.jpg

Better (after more than a few washes)...Whew. I have also added some VGC Chaos Brown inbetween the fingers and toes as well as along the nose and some of the deeper muscles on the forearms and to darkline the skin next to the clothing. Still needs work. I think I will go back and take some beige brown to lighten some of the deep recesses in the forearms and along the nose. Back to highlighting again?
