Wow, GunjoNoKanrei, your cats are too cute. My guys sleep like that a lot, they\'re related too - brothers (well, half, probably).

Barkel, locking your familiar in the closet will only make him hate the wee men even more :D You can\'t win with cats, just adapt yourself to their needs and habits. Sort of like having an affectionate but slightly sociopathic child who\'s stopped growing at the age of two and doesn\'t speak your language.

Romeo is our miniature Dachshund. Actually, he is my wifes. I yelled at him last night because he pooped in the floor. So he peed on my side of the bed.

You deserved it. Don\'t you know you have to ask the dog\'s permission to yell at him? Besides, you were sleeping on his property anyway. It\'s not like anything\'s yours...:D

LOVE the pics! They\'re my favorite type of dog. Used to have a 1/2 husky 1/2 chow when I was young. BEST...DOG...EVER...

Of course I deserved it!

Yes Skydancer, I had it coming. Afterall, Romeo was only pooping in his toilet. It\'s not his fault that his toilet just happens to be my dining room.:D

Children and pets will assume ownership of everything you have, no matter how precious. And if they break it... oh well, just by a new $700.00 guitar dad. Easy come, easy go.

Ok, they haven\'t killed the guitar yet, but my daughter seems to think the case is the perfect stool for sitting on, standing on, jumping on and knocking down. The guitar is safe inside, right?

I keep most of my minis out of the reach of the kids and cats, but cats can be more clever than you think, especially when it comes to jumping really, really high, and landing on a rather narrow piece of shelf. It\'s not so bad when they land soundly. Then they look around and see that none of the minis are moving, and therefore are no fun. It\'s when they mis-jump, grab the edge of the shelf and pull 10 or 15 minis down along with 60 paint pots. Then the pots all scatter and it\'s like 70 mice to chase. Then all 4 cats join in the fun.

Yup, guessed as much. Malamutes are wonderful! Actually saw a miniature one once!

Talk about cute and cuddly!

My roommate had a pet cat. once.
It chewed one of my minis.

It wasn\'t me honest.

well it was, but only after the rampant group of teenagers with the air rifle shot the thing in the head. I still wouldn\'t have done it, but even combined, we couldn\'t afford the $150- needle at the vet.

Death rattles are so spookey...

I dont think I should answer that,
we have animal welfare here too...

Actually, though I dislike cats in general, I really liked this one. It had a personality all of its own.

Just as an aside, did you know that in Australia, outside of the cities, cats are considered a serious pest and are shot on sight? And in many country towns, the whole township will get together to go on cat hunts (cat spotting).
This isn\'t cause we dont like cats.
Cats kill nearly every native animal in Australia with impunity and for fun as well as food (2nd only to humans).
Ever feel sorry for the little bird that your cat dragged home when you let him out at night? Imagine if that was a koala or a bilby.

Whoops, didn\'t mean this to turn into some kind of rant. I can see some kitties getting an extra serve of cat food tonight.

Unfortunatly I have three familiars (all cats), and only one doesn\'t sleep on my minis. The other two have a sport of scratching my leg until I put the on my lap then insist on hitting me with their tails as often as possible. two of them are long hairs and all shed constantly, which has led to my discovery that a little cat hair works great for thickening watery paint.

Cats aren\'t universally popular

In the UK there has been at least one high profile, wildlife celebrity (Chris Packham) who has got into aweful trouble, it might have even ruined his career, for suggesting that cats are a pest and huge threat to our native wildlife.
Personally I am not anti-cat, but there owners should be subjected to the same burden of responsibility as dog owners. ie:
1) It is not acceptable to just kick the b*stard out at night or let it run the streets.
2) You should have to clear up its excrement, especially when it is in MY garden.
3) Thou shalt not hide behind the excuse *whiney voice* \"It\'s an independent creature, it has to roam, I can\'t control it\" If that\'s true..then it\'s presumably OK for my Bull Terrier to go walkies on its own????
As someone who has lovingly tended seed beds and painstakingly tried to encourage birds into my garden I would happily do an Ozzie Osborne and bite the bugger\'s heads off, but, as a dog owner I also realise that we have to stand together to a certain extent against the total \'antis\'. However, I have told my neighbours that if they let their cats shit in my garden, I will personally climb over their fence and return the favour:D
That\'s fair, is it not?
