Come now, Tammy!

That\'s not old! My wife just turned 30 yesterday.

She is obviously a fool, so good riddance, if you ask me! :flame: I believe that there is no such thing as \"wasting time and money\" or \"doing something worthwhile with it\". Because as long as you are enjoying yourself, you are doing everything right! And if you enjoy painting miniatures, keep on doing it! And if you\'re talanted and good at it, that\'s just so much better. Who cares what you do with your time and/or money as long as you\'re having fun, eh? She (and all other women you might meet) has no right to tell you what to do, it\'s as simple as that :bouncy: So don\'t lock yourself up.. just keep enjoying painting and find a woman that understands you!

I agree wholeheartedly! But, boy! Did I have one heck of a time convincing a jury of that!

Well reading all these comments just makes me feel really lucky! I\'ve got someone who not only shares my hobby, but so many other things. It\'s quite remarkable really and it\'s all down to CMON that we met :D

BTW....Tammy, 30 is most definitely not over the hill dear ;) Trust me, I\'d know lol

Neither of you are over the hill yet, you\'re just climbing up the other side toward the top!! :p

Where will Dauber be when the rest of us get down into that gully?

Peter, you COULD just keep posting it again and again \'til your count reaches 1000...;)

Seriously, you\'re lucky you have someone who enjoys some of your interests. It helps.

Funny you should point that out...it\'s not something I\'ve ever really thought about \'til looking at your count, which made me look at mine.

I\'m just not a huge poster of replies.

Although why don\'t me make this useful: what\'s it like? Do you two share a table; paint at the same time; offer tips/suggestions? Ask for comments/criticisms? What COULD it be like for the EricJ\'s out there?

aaah ok...

Well there are approximately 200 miles between us, so normally we sit at our own tables but share tips and ideas over the phone or MSN.

Over Christmas we were able to sit together and paint/convert and stuff, and it was great. It really helped to be able to discuss composition and colour use there and then, in the flesh. Some of the most productive painting I have done has been whilst sitting with anothe rpainter. It really helps to be able to bounce ideas off eachother and keeps you focussed.

I can see that. At one point after seeing LOTR, my wife asked for the Fellowship minis and expressed an interest in painting them, but nothing came of it. It would be nice to be able to sit with another person and paint...to stay focused.

We recently purchased our first house, and made sure it had a garage for her shop and a beautiful room for my \"painting\" and other hobbies, but I have yet to sit down and paint anything. I\'m already a slow painter, but I\'m having a hard time getting motivated.

It was easier in the rental house, as my hobby room was on the same floor as the living room, so we could hang out together whilst still doing our own things.

Now my room is on the lower level, and that creates a problem with spending time with each other.

And yes \'vike, I forgot to e-mail you pics of the new room. Will do soon.

Yeah, I think having one room for the hobbies is pretty important for the whole \'time together\' thing, and is something that can really help the relationship.
