Not a huge amounton just now sadly, been too busy building a mates PC, writing an magazine article and sorting out yet more things for the wedding.

As GD seems to have gone full Splinter Cell quiet on us, i have given up plkanning my squad entry and will look at expanding into 54 and 70mm stuff for a change, with an aim to enter Euro 2016 with a few different types of entries.

Finally put paint to sable the other night.

Working on my infinity stuff for tabletop + quality.

Tried doing Ben Komet's Wet in wet tehnique of having your base colour and then a dot of white to the tip of the brush, and paint a line then blend in while wet.

First go on the chest plates of my Fusilier. Bit too little of an effect this time, need to up it a bit.

However my NMM of the re-breather part of the model i was quite pleased with using the same technique.

Finally got paint to plastic. Started building up my base for the yellow and shading.

I'm using ushabti as a base and shading with VGC leather, glazed with a mid mix before high lighting.

This is just after shading and mid tone glaze.

Got to the same point on all 3 models.

Now added the base blue to start the NMM.

I completed one shoulder pads NMM as a test, not 100% but better than I thought it would be.

Don't know if it's good enough to carry on with whole squad?

Contrast looks better on the 2nd one. More like a black steel than blue grey. Much more Fisty.

I like the blueish grey metal mate, coming along nicely. Use the pure white highlights sparingly for more effect.

I'm struggling a bit with progress now, i cannot decide to do NMM on the metal leg brace affair and the hand parts, or do them black with some NMM in the pistons etc.

Its a lot of work to do the whole frame and with time available and with 3 of them its an ask, but im worried black will be seen as too simple :(

Looks awesome! NMM like that takes forever. Do you have an airbrush? Might be worth trying to borrow one or investing. Ideally if you could get someone to loan you one and get you started... I bet you could knock out those panels pretty quick.

Don't be afraid to go back in and tidy up your free hand later on too. The more you do the better you get! The gray looks greyt!

:)

Hi Demi :)

I have a good airbrush set up, but for the size of parts and the yellow already being on them, airbrushing would take forever what with masking into all the crevices etc :(

I think i am going to go black for the parts that are covers or larger areas and keep the NMM to the bare metal pistons and a few areas otherwise ill end up in a padded room :)
