We can compete again soon Conrad. :D

Not sure what category my entry will go in though.
Its Hasslefree\'s Libby on a Sabretooth

I actually think I will get it finished, and I am really pleased with it.

Let battle commence.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I was going to enter my Libby on tiger as well :(

I have a few other bits to bring along as well but I am not sure what category they will have to go into as I am sure single fantasy/sci-fi didn\'t include mounted figures last year so they might have to go into the other category.

Hi Guys,
I\'ll be attending Salute this year. Finally.
I have been wanting to go the past two, but finally I have managed to make things fit into my calender.

Having been mostly painted GW stuff myself I really look forward to seeing the various small companies\'s stuff there.

I\'ll bring a model or two for the painting competition but I am not prepairing something special. Actually I have already started prepairing for GD so no time to paint competition stuff for Salute... :)

Nice one Jakob - are you bringing some of your other minis so we can drool over them???
...and maybe some spares of your Goblins and that nice witch sculpt too to hand out to groupies ;)

@Jakob

It will be great to see your stuff at Salute and compete against you in the comp.

Shame that you couldn\'t get anything done specifically for it though.

The competition is just getting stiffer and stiffer, for me this just makes it better and better.

Yeah, it would have been good to have something specially made for the competition, but my main interest is to tjeck out the trade stands and meet some of the little people in the industry.

@Highbulb Billy: Spare models for groupies? haha! Well, actually, my intension is to go as \"Jakob - the painter guy\", not really to represent my little mini line. Of course, I might bring a few of my own studio models but I have a long way to go before going to Salute commercially.

@Jakob
Hopefully I\'ll get a chance to meet you, it would be great to have an opportunity to talk to you about painting. I noticed one of you r recent work area pics had the winged helmet chaos dwarf, I\'ve been thinking for some time I should try and get myself a second to do a comparison with the one I painted years ago, so will be great to see what you do with it.

Heya guys

I\'ll be going as Wargriffon said ;)

I\'m another person entering the painting comp, but not painted anything specifically for it... I have a fantasy single, sci-fi single and then a monster sized squig hopper... which I guess will be in the monster category.

Not sure where your libby on tiger would go though...

http://www.salute.co.uk/mainframe.htm has the information... winner gets a sword.
Best of show gets the sword :D
Wineer and runner up in each category gets an engraved glass tankard, 1 pint for winner 1/2 pint for runner up.

Competition is really hotting up this year and as it is all for fun there should be a lot of nice figures in the display cases to look at :D

I can\'t remember seeing that many mounted figures at Salute last year in the Sci-fi and Fantasy categories so I hope they don\'t say that mounted figures have to go in the other category, might have to paint another Fantasy foot figure this week just in case I can\'t enter Libby on her pussy cat as a single.

Not expecting to win anything though but hey you never know :D

well, to be honest, I\'m just chuffed to be able to see all these great minis in the flesh.

So I think that\'s a victory for everyone... where\'s MY sword damnit? :drunk:
