Season 3 - Yes or no? Please share your thoughts.

With season 3 I have made the following decisions:

1. Don't waste time complaining because CMON will do what they think is appropriate
2. Don't over spend!
3. Don't buy extra for eBay selling
4. Don't expect it to be on time
5. Relax and enjoy all the cool games I already have rather then spend hours fretting and making comments
6. Enjoy whatever Season 3 turns out to be.

Hey, that's just me!

I ended up backing only because the wife and I decided we would eventually buy it anyway. Despite my protests over them doing another Kickstarter and complaints from the last one, I can't pass on the opportunity to save some money versus retail while getting some extra stuff.

Back in Update 76CMoN discussed the misprinted Add-on survivor cards/dashboards (i.e. missing #s in XP track) and they stated: "We will also be providing free dashboards for all season 1 and season 2 promos and exclusives to any backer of Season 3 with necessary updates and amendments made (if any), so as to include those of you who missed season 1 or any of the optional exclusives (which you can then proxy other models for)." and furthermore stated, "In the meantime, high resolution files of these dashboards will be available at http://zombicide.com for your own print and play". To me this indicates CMoN will provide updated re-prints of the original survivor cards. Has anyone heard anything about this?

One of the early stretch points (125k) is for a purple case containing ALL of the pre-Season 3 "PROMO" cards. Whether this will include reprints of the Season 1, Season 2 and Toxic Mall, is not clear but will hopefully include the numbers on the (s)kill-ometer!

I doubt it contains the cards for the standard survivors as those are in their respective games. The stretch goal for the promo survivors is to provide people with all of the promos and correct the mistake of the promos that didn't have the numbers in their experience tracker. There isn't really a need to reprint the survivors from each game as those cards aren't flawed in any way and readily available to the public.

From the KS-
All Infected and Patient 0 level backers will receive a purple Zombicide storage box containing all the promo Dashboards released before Season 3, even the ultra rare Kyoko.

This is really cool, but I already have them all. The numbers were a non-issue for me, but it will be good to have them replaced. I hope that box is fat enough to hold all of my survivors cards!

Ah, good to know. I noticed that case SG, but not the fact that it included the revised cards.

On a related topic, I'm curious about Dan, one of the new survivors in Rue Morgue, as his dashboard was showcased on the GG Facebook page and it has 2 Blue-level skills:

If this is the case, then one might assume all the Rue Morgue survivors have 2 Blue-level skills. Also, maybe all the survivors in Angry Neighbors too. That worries me because that might make all prior survivors inferior by comparison. The basis of my concern is with the Season 1 promo survivor, Dave (i.e. Sheldon Cooper), who had a fairly useless Blue-level skill (as we rarely found both Molotov components during a game). As such, most of the players in my group considered Dave to have no real Blue-level skill... and in having no skill he was inferior to every other survivor. To this day, no one wants to play as Dave. Now what happens if you have a choice between survivors with 2 Blue-level skills, versus the old ones with only 1 Blue-level skill... which would you want, especially if they match up skill-wise (i.e. Nick starts with Tough, but what if there was a new survivor that started with Tough plus some other survivor skill...)?

Personally, if they do go with creating survivor who have 2 Blue-level skills, I would hope that at some point they would revise all the older survivors by giving them a 2nd skill too. That, or the secondary skill needs to be a pro/con skill, that gives something positive, but also comes with a negative. As then some players might not want that negative attribute.

Sure I'm in, totally hooked, love painting the minis and trying to work out who they are based on. Always willing to try out new ways to play so the more rules and variations the better. I don't mind the extra survivors as addons, but for the sake of completeness I tend to get em all. Made the mistake in not bothering with Marvin and Claudia from season 1 and am now stuck proxying them as £60 on ebay is the going rate if they ever even appear.

I haven't jumped in yet, still fence sitting. Kinda disappointed with the stretch goal survivors so far, but the game/games themselves look decent, and I like some of the VIP zombies. I'll probably back it, but not like I did the previous times. I'll wait on the guest boxes since they are not LE, and I can get them for the same price online once released.

The VIP's I like most in the moment, but not the rules for them, these are dump.
I like the crows, but not for the game. And seeing the spawn cards, there much more crows needed to be useful in the game.
