I am glad you saw light, feels good, i got the same problem, after 40 bro we got to check in for our eyes more often then before, when I started back in 2010 and I opened my boxes and started to look at my mini I was like " how the *&$*&$ did i do that" bad news is it's not going to get better ,good news is we are more stubborn now.

Looking great, bud! One criticim though... The orb looks slightly like a watermelon. Might be the angle of the picture... But the colors are just right, and the pattern close. You might want to tweak that just a bit.

Looks good BAM. I like the subdued use of OSL. You see a lot of over the top OSL used and it tends to be too in your face for my tastes. This is just right to my eye.

i hear you guys on the eyes. I bought a pair of 3x reading glasses a couple years ago and it helped. Last spring i bought a cheap jewelers style magnifying visor off Amazon...whoaa! Now i can see the poor paint job before i take the pict and blow it up on the computer screen. Lol. ;)

I'm on oistene ,I'll trow a few glazes on it to unify the color that strong yellow dark green is of a fruit like nature and that's one part I told myself I'll need to a dress as long as I feel it and one other person says it then I'll make a decision bud and this is one of agreement thanks cause as unsure as I was I wouldn't of changed it if someone didn't say it.so you've tipped the scales ,well done.
and krule I cannot Belive I'm a been able to paint at all never mind the level of detail I put in.its really blurry and didn't even think it was until I saw the diff...

http://youtu.be/UAdU38PozHg sorry to post this but I feel it's necessary ..if one person could hopefully change from this then it's worth it. I've had my own demons and it took awhile to get under control. But guys keep telling yourself you don't have a problem and there is just a point that there is no coming back from. Take a look at you tubes aron story.

I think we all take a lot for granted. I've suffered with depression for sometime and sometimes I feel a little selfish to why I've got it when you see what others go through in life, but at the end of the day everyone is different, live there lives different and are affected by different thing. The main thing is as long as we all learn from our pitfalls and let them develop yourself into a stronger character.

xcellently said and another wonderful thought aron was basically a sacrifice to have others know the dangers of taking alot for granted while I Def feel this poor young man didn't deserve this in any way however like you said dave a strong character picked by God himself to carry a message of what not to do for fellow human beings in all walks of life.
Now aside from that I've got some more movement on the Lord and will probably be able to finish him today/night.then well get a picture posted up on cmon and have everybody cast your votes and support your local cyber Internet BAM. :)

Depression AKA The Black Dog/The Blues/Monkey on my Shoulder, has been a Constant companion /combatant with me for many years.
And Yes it's taken me to the darkest point anyone can get and I've considered finishing the whole deal.
If it hadn't been for the fact that other people were dependant on me doing stuff for them, I honestly wouldn't have made it through November.

So you have my understanding about the guilt/helplessness over seeing others with worse physical ailments. Our 'invisible' illness doesn't stop us being sympathetic in fact it often makes us more so.
