Awesome unit John and with those copses there will look like a slaughter scene lol...

On the other hand:

For the transport thing... I haven't done it but I saw it on "pdf manual" from the spanish team, from a user called "El duende", I will shorthand it in here with pictures:
You just need to drill a hole into the wooden base of the mini, then these pieces:

do not know their proper names in english sry. The one on the left goes into the hole on the wooden base, then you also need to drill a hole of the same diameter through a wooden box (that can contain your miniature) and the you just screw everything to the box with the piece on the right.

Hope this helps ;)

That's one scary group of chaos warriors! Great painting, BAM. From what I've seen so far, I'd suggest leaving extra space in your suitcase when you come to Chicago. Highly possible you'll be carting home even more trophies than last year!

Yeah, that's pretty much what I do to transport figures. I see people who sticky tack them to the case but I'd be terrified that'd fall. I got a tapping kit from the hardware store, so I cut the grooves for the screw. But you can also get the predone metal do-dad and just hammer it into the wood block. Either way, I highly recommend setting up the hole/grooves before you put the figures on the block. I've tried the reverse, it's not good!

Papa ,,where did you get the steel gates and fences on the chaos dudes . It is all coming together so good .
On your behest I went and bought Figopedia and Jeremy's DVDs .Best thing ever. I have bought other books and DVDs such as the Andrea miniature ones and Vallejo ones and the ones by Jeremy are by far the most informative and useful books and DVDs that I know of.
thank you.

Oh wow, that is an amazing piece there. He is going to be so easy for you to paint, but dam if he isn't going to look awesome.

Agreed! :good: It's amazing how much easier it is to paint good quality sculpts and minis. Even a novice (upgraded from newbie hey BAM?) paint splatterer such as myself notices.

OOk So been a walking dead fan since the comic book.I love love love it.but I need to say the new spin off -FEAR THE WALKING DEAD-has some of the FINEST acting from so very brilliant performers. Among them the young actor frank dillane who played the young Tom riddle in the Harry Potter series. In this new spin off it really takes place during the many weeks that build up to the time of the flesh eating hordes.the greatest thing is watching this young actor play a very bad heroine addict trying to feed his addiction and at the same time not get killed in this pre apocalyptic setting...if anybody likes this sort of walking dead cinema.than try and catch this on AMC.the nuances and character portrayal in this bad situation are dead on.I'm saying it now this kid will get the award.

I have to agree with you. The show is getting better, but that addict steals the show in my opinion. I still don't think it is as good as the walking dead but it is a good spin off.

A good painter can make a so-so sculpt look good... but damn if it isn't easier to just start with a good sculpt! I encourage people who want to paint for display and competition to get away from the pure gaming figures. There are tons of companies making high quality figures with painters in mind. We look for good brushes and paints to work with, you've got to put as much emphasis on finding good sculpts. That's why I love those Latorre figures. The detail is great and he manages to make even simple poses look interesting. It's a shame this figure is out of production, but Latorre is still sculpting and has some really neat fantasy stuff coming out. I know he did a couple figures for the Black Sailors line and I think he's done all of the figures at M Proyec.

Anyway, I got a bit of topic there. BAM, I'm looking forward to seeing your take on this figure. He will look great with the rest of the vikings. And I agree, Fear the Walking Dead has been really interesting so far. I was worried they would drag out the pre-outbreak part of the story for too long but things are developing at a decent pace. I'm definitely curious to see where they go with it.

Bails I'm so glad you touched on that point I kept trying to remind myself to say it that the 2rules quality sculpts and good brushes!! I'm so glad you said it. And so glad someone's with me on fear walking dead. Very realistic with a nice pace.

ok it was late I managed to get a scheme down and some things done pics are terrible but I promise better ones tomorrow. Oh yeah btw I'm in white dwarf.., AGAIN. That's 14 times I believe WD and VISIONS.
