Well it was my first impression, don't know if it's the case for everyone, they still really nice nut I tough the red details where like blending in the back ground instead of popping them out

Depends on what you are looking at I guess.. I like the warm look the red background gives the flesh tones, But The crispness of the gore on the cold steel looks better with the light grey background..
Just my 2 cents.

Zoulness I def see what your talking bout. Diff colors become different variations of their hue when set against certain background colors.;)

Couple of unrelated questions if you don't mind, how big is that orc warboss? I will be in the vicinity of a gw tomorrow but I noticed the price on him and was pretty shocked. And secondly I noticed on another thread you mentioned about how you do metals, I'm guessing you use all gw colours for them but would you mind a brief description? You've probably already put it in here somewhere but 280 pages is a big haystack to look through :p

Here's whats being finished up in the table : enjoy bases ill be waiting for the next time I order from cmon so they'll be done as soon as I can folks.dame thing on the ork by Dennis soul!!! There is also a pic of the triumvirate under a general light source . Diff sources diff things.

First off he's use he's an Orc and a half high and bout the same if not wider in width.

Ok so metal
base coat chainmail
wash black and scorched brown complete civerage
then wash in bestial brown in just the crevices and apply in patches on random spots.
Do the same thing as above now with vermin brown.-
now at this point do the highlights with mightily silver and here's what makes it pop ONLY APPLY THE HIGHLIGHTS TO THE EDGINGS AND MAKE IT AS TIGHT(thin and str8) !!!
. Some scratches and dents. There you go. Now there's 1 more more thingie use the thinnest possible wash (I say wash cause I apply it fully complete coverage over the armor) but its a glazed consustency(tinted water ) of agrax earthshade.

Thrre you have good ol weather / battle beaten armor.

Tanks mate, bookmarked for future reference, I find the new aos scale confusing as I only really see pictures online, it's easy to forget that they are much bigger than 40k or older warhammer minis

I prefer the grey and white back ground as it seems to give a crisper looking photo, but the real question is which one did Janet tell you to use??? Lol :)
