Yeeea hell’s yeeeah weathers the storm on day one- HOWEVER DAY TWO- EUROPEANS FROM ALLOVER COMING TO GET A CHAMCE AT THAT BANKROLL. JAMES CRAIG -one of the judges under head judge Jennifer Haley said to me they were some of the best work he’s seen.theyve also been getting a bombardment of oooohs and ahhhhs all day. His words after seeing folks look at them- he turned said to me “John it’s been like that all day. I’m certain these things can change easily after today’s entries. But I still am hopeful for finals . Fingers crossed .thank you all hairster,coyote,code name ,Denny boy. ​voting goes live tomorrow.

Thanks sooo much guys-spoke to baily after I sent him photos of some of the other great entries. He still has me placing. I know he’s a friend but he has an impartial view on this so I trust his call. Not that it will go this way- the fact it CAN Leaves me in a better mind frame.

Been seeing pics here and there and keeping in mind all the different factors, haven't seen any pics of yours pop up but there is a primaris space marine that helps me make a point. It's covered in very neat freehand and shows a great technical ability (which no one can deny) however, the whole model is in grey scale, it's really hard to see if there is any shading or highlighting done to it (it doesn't look like there is to me)it looks pretty much like it's painted a flat dark grey or black with fancy freehand all over, the base is also just a bunch of rocks. Now when it comes to voting it's easy to think it should score high because of the freehand but there's just no atmosphere and they've skipped out on effort with the basing, there's not much to go from on interesting colour choices either, basically if you stripped the freehand off it it would be a fairly standard TT quality imo

I've seen it on FB and it sounded like the guy was going to use inks to colour it when the freehand was done but doesn't look like he did in the end

I have been away for a couple years and I browsed the Gallery yesterday "Top this Week" and I was surprised to see minis with 9's that would have been 7's two years ago. It seems like anything Warhammer is worth two extra points now.
