Regarding hair I would say Black.. but that is perhaps due to the fact that we see it as black now :) otherwise I would go for red. Skin looks very nice and the scars are visible, perhaps some more red around the scars, depending on how fresh they should be...Now you are using a similar tone that you uses for your shadow parts. i do think it would be better if it was a different shadow color on the scars.

Urrghh, back to infrequent posting for a bit. I go right from exams and research papers to the release of Dragon Age: Inquisiton this Tuesday. Okay, not actually complaining about that last part.

Kretcher, I appreciate the input. I was thinking about red...I'll play around. Do you think pinkish tones would look best even if they're meant to be old scars? Or maybe just mixing some new ones in with the old ones?

Frankengirl is all properly photographed (to the best of my abilities)! This was such a fun contest, even if I do feel a little silly for doing the whole durn thing airbrushless. It'd be awesome if you guys would be willing to go cast your votes here for whichever entry you like best!

Demi, I forgot to answer: eheh, no. It was less a pre-planned thing and more a matter of what looked right compositionally as it went on, yannow?

Sionid in regards to the scars I am not sure. actually never done it myself either:) I would go for what looks best for the composition of the figure as a whole and stick to that, whatever it is fresher or older scars or a mix of them. Make some test on an older figure that you dont care so much about and see what you want to do.

Frankengirl is just very very nice I like it a lot.

AHHH. Thank you! I did not expect that! And thanks again for organizing the contest, Web, can't wait to see what the next one will be. So what'd I win? 8D

DR, thanks for the heads up! The elf marauder doesn't seem to be on their site anymore, though n_n but I'll see if I can get in contact with them.

Thanks to everybody for the kind comments. I'm really looking forward to winter break, I might actually have time to paint again.

Something came in the mail today! I ordered it back in September, almost forgot it was coming...finally got a shipping notification email the other day.

She looks reaaally good. I've never painted anything from Origen before, everything is so crisp and tiny. Time to start brainstorming how the heck I should paint her (but not 'til after the ogre and the morat! I WILL NOT START ANOTHER PROJECT. I WILL NOT).

Noooo. Finals this week -_- but then sweet, sweet winter break.

Zab, no! I'm hesitant to go all autumny-woodsy 'cause that's what everyone does, but it'd really suit the mini. Entertained the notion of doing a paler, wintery version. No decisions yet. Suggestions are most welcome.

Demi, I saw that BloodFather has recently started going primer-less. The idea gives me flashbacks to trying to get paint to stay on Reaper Bones stuff...but yeah, some of the details, like the stitches on her top, are hair-thin. If I prime, I think a light pass with the ol' airbrush would be the way to go.

Digga, I always want to start things! Trying to be better about that pesky finishing step. Key word being "trying."
